I've been getting a lot of snags lately, fishing the east end of sak. Mostly branches and such, and losing spinners. Spending too much time backing up and fighting snags. Was wondering about trying some weedless hooks on my spinners. Also may try some weedless jigs. Any body have any luck with them?

It's probably not your hooks that are snagging, unless that's all you are tearing off, in that case couldn't hurt to try. Just saying.

Larger blades with a few more beads between the hook and the clevis can sometimes make a snell more snag resistant. However, the fish may not like the upsize. If you do try weedless hooks, I would look for a longer shank hook. The bristles on a longer shank hook give way a bit easier than those on a short shank hook. Good Luck!!

Try looping a small rubber band through the hook eye, then loop it behind the barb. You may need to bend the point inward for the band to shield the point. If that works, weedless hooks will work even better.
