Well it looks like I'm getting serious about upgrading the ol' Reata

I spent 36,000 on mine 8 yes ago. That was a fortune then for me, and still is today.
Not a chance I would spend more. I might keep this current one for the rest of my fishing days.

I would love a 100,000 boat, but never going to happen even if I had that cash burning a hole in my pocket

I couldn't agree more with you John, 40K is a ton of money for a toy!

not going to lie, I am going all in on this one and like I told my wife, I could always go out and blow $100 a night drinking at the bar but this is my passion and obsession.

I don't think I could buy anything brand new off the lot. It's nice to be the first owner but it seems like you lose too much in depreciation. I would probably put my top mark at around 40k. At that point, I don't feel guilty for using it for only 5 months out of the year.

5575, those boats are friggen sweet.

This was last week at the Casino tourney, there were two flights of 100 boats "lots of 300-350hp outboards around".
The second flight decided to start before the horn went off :;:huh

Windshields are for pussies.... :;:thumbsup

When you have the biggest, hairiest, nastiest black gal to block bow spray and a vast amount of UV light I'd say your point is moot.

I love my 621 with the 300 Verado. There are faster boats, but I love the fit and finish. The thing is 5 years old and I get asked if it is a brand new boat every time I take it somewhere. I bought it 3 years ago and I think I could sell it for what I paid for it.

Wow, I can't believe how much water that thing was taking on holey crap. Sak gets pretty big when the wind blows 35+ out of the west mid lake section. When you can see land then not see land standing, I've only seen one wave come over like that so far in the 219.

Looks like the last time I had fancy feast on sak. Wags was a little wet and I was able to wash the bottom of my boat out. I wish I could find the weather man that said it was going to be 15 mph out of the south and kick him square in the nuts.

That at video looks like a Great Lakes trip. I think any boat is going to take a wave or two over the bow.

Been there....Done that!! Threw away the T-shirt!! Gave up the "Deadliest Catch" type of fishing as pickled feet, hands, and various other parts of the body tends to lessen the entertainment value of a day on the water IMO!!
