Yeah the story on its pretty funny because it was Oscar winner Emma Thompson doing a cooking show more or less for Greenpeace. Apparently the smell got pretty strong right about the time they were frosting the cookies as he was frosting the field so to speak! Her reaction was pretty good she took it fairly well some of the other Greenpeace freaks not so much.

I will say I was very disappointed he didn't light it up when he backed in but he was playing it smart and getting his point across without committing a crime himself. Had to laugh when some of the eco nuts were yelling to call the cops who as it turned out were literally standing by the gate laughing their ass off!

I wonder where this protest camp will go? ;:;boozer [h=1]Judge Sides with Energy Company; Allows Pipeline Work Under Lake Sakakawea to Continue[/h][h=2]Federal judge rules against the Three Affiliated Tribes in decision
BISMARCK
A federal judge is allowing work to continue on a pipeline project that will carry gas underneath Lake Sakakawea.
Paradigm Energy Partners and members of the Three Affiliated Tribes, including its chairman, Mark Fox, have been in a legal battle over the project since mid August.
Fox and others from the Mandan, Hidiatsa and Arikara tribe have been trying to stop work on the pipeline claiming the tribe owns the mineral rights underneath the lake.
Fox told Judge Daniel Hovland the tribe is concerned the pipeline could leak at some point and his tribe has the right to make sure the ground under the lake is undisturbed.
In an order siding with Paradigm Energy, Judge Hovland says the company showed it had gone through the legal process and received an easement and right-of-way from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He also recognized that Paradigm Energy would face irreparable harm if work was stopped at this point in the process.
A representative of the company told the judge in a hearing on Sept. 1 it would likely go out of business if construction did not continue.
Here's a timeline of events in the court case:
Fox filed a Cease and Desist Order against Paradigm and its contractors on Aug. 8.
Paradigm responded by filing a motion for a temporary restraining order against Fox on Aug. 19.
Fox filed a motion to dissolve that order on Aug. 30.
Hovland heard testimony from both sides at a hearing in Bismarck on Sept. 1 (story here: http://www.myndnow.com/news/bismarck-news/no-decision-yet-on-pipeline-under-lake-sakakawea)
Hovland's latest order siding with Paradigm was issued on Sep. 13.

I guess they're as far west as Alexander now protesting. I think they may get themselves in a pickle soon. There are some extreme rednecks up here that will do just about anything when they get a snoot full. Gonna be interesting.

That always sounds good till the good old boys show up and realize there are cops just about everywhere! That said these protesters get dumb and start sneaking around messing with shit at night like they are starting to do and it's only a matter of time that some of them wined up in a place they shouldn't be at a time when it's not smart to be there!

Well the court has put in a temporary stop on all construction within 20 miles of oahe yesterday! Wow way to stop somthing that's already stoped!:;:deadhorsebut if you want to see what talking out of both sides of your mouth really looks like here you go.

The Corps of Engineers had asked the judge to deny the tribe’s request for an emergency injunction. But the Corps also noted that it has paused construction of the pipeline at Lake Oahe until it can determine whether it should reconsider its previous decisions about the lake crossing under the National Environmental Policy Act or other laws.

Was the special use permit granted to help end the mess? Now that it's legal, they must adhere to the rules. Perhaps this is their way of legally ending the camp once certain rules are broken? Camp protesters are like hell ya we got the permit, while the Government is snickering the whole time as it was delivered knowing this is the beginning of the end?

I heard that some of the protesters showed up to protest the river crossing between Fairview and Trenton. But it was already completed.

Went out to a buddy's on saturday south of mandan on highway 6 to shoot some trap and sight in a couple new scopes this weekend took the camper out there so we had a place to crash after the fire and beers. needless to say shortly after i turned off the highway to head towards his house i had 3 patrol cars on my tail and they followed me all the way to my buddies house before 2 of them peeled off. Needless to say the pipeline crosses a few miles south of his place so they are patrolling the hell out of everything especially when you are pulling a cherokee camper.

Do they still have a road block south of Mandan on 1804? And if so are they letting people to the gun range?
