Maybe dapl should do as they demand. They seem well informed, and neat.

Man if a guy was smart he would set up a go fund me page for them and then bring them a couple cases of water and a few dozen donuts from Walmart with the $500,000 you got from the page!

LOL this was discussed in great detail last Saturday in the local tavern. Its a little cloudy, but donating fresh caught walleye out of new boats, fresh meat hunted down with new guns, and gear, including new ....well you get the picture. Should see my gofund me page up real soon for these items. I'll post the link once it I start it LOL

The thought actually crossed my mind as well! I wonder what the legalities are of such a thing? Are there any rules/regulations on the go fund me site that state whether or not documentation on purchases is required?

Are they (or anyone) required to pay taxes on the money earned?

Pretty sure it's basically an honor system and the "donations" are considered a gift, so not taxable (unless they were very large and met the gift tax level).

Go fund me pages are the biggest scam going. Look at all the people recently who've set them up to help someone and then end up keeping a large portion of the donations. Once again, another thing that was most likely started for a very good reason- to help out somebody with med bills, fires, natural disasters/property loss- has turned into another way for shitheads in society to "raise" money without doing a dam thing.

If I deem someone in need of cash for something, you best believe they will be getting it from me personally, not a website.

Seems par for the course here, that's what the tribal system already does and the people love them for it.

Didn't read the legalities but did read a news article this evening about the woman in MN who evidently was in charge of the Go Fund efforts for the 3 fisherman who drowned in that state last fall. Not all the money went to the fishermen, or their families, and she was being charged with theft. If nothing else it certainly would qualify as fraud.

I was thinking that land along the pipeline route is probably going to be more heavily posted than usual this year. It wasn't like there is a lot of unposted land in that area anyway. Farmers and landowners are also going to be a little uneasy about who is around as well.

Protestors now forcing people to sell land. Our govt is useless. I think we see this in nc. Our freedom is eroding due to the crimes being committed on the basis of free speech.

And now we are getting to the heart of what these useful idiots are being used for.

We as citizens will start to tolerate infringements on our liberties as this same govt begins to crack down on those they have allowed to engage in the actions that cause the average American to accept more regulations and laws and restrictions on our freedoms.

Our freedoms will be eroded because the govt is using these useful idiots to get us to accept that.

I heard a colored fella in the NC riots say "hands up, he'll no, guns up".

When they are done rioting there, they will need to riot somewhere else, might as well be dapl.

Now did they sell just a small chunk of land or the whole damn ranch. That is one big ass ranch for it to all be sole. For those who have never been to this spot it's primarily prairie dog towns and buffalo pens. I keep hoping some of the protesters get a bit to close to the sacred animals and find out just how much they give a shit about their pipline protest! As for posting the Cannonball ranch stuff is always posted.

Just looked it appears all 8,000 acres were up for sale before this shit storm started either as a whole thing or two sections. If the company is smart they will do some sort of give it to the state as a recreation site type of deal to get some good public relations.

Tell you one thing I definitely wouldn't be opposed to a boat ramp right about there! Although odds are they will give it to the tribe.
