When it comes to reporters especially this one and such a trivial charge ...yes. you have to realize who this lady is she is the person who filmed and uploaded the dog attacks on the protesters. Now they spun that into the nice peaceful protesters being attacked by the goons of big oil. Now I know that's not how it happened and you know that's not how it happened but the general public around the country that's pretty much all they saw. So now what they're seeing is the local Authority arresting the reporter who reported the story and to them it's the cops trying to silence the voice of downtrodden Native Americans as we steal more of their heritage and land away from them once again. They are currently spinning it hard and it's getting quite a bit of traction and it's the kind of thing that turns people that are undecided in the middle away from the right side towards the crazy side. This is now a game of moves and countermoves and this was a bad move. you never give your enemy ammo!

Here's the nut bag bitch spinning away. Stupid people eat this kind of crap up and unfortunately they seem to be outnumbering smart people by a considerable margin at this point. The only up side I see to this action and most likely the key factor in why they did it is if she or any of the previously arrested people come back and trespass they will be guilty of breaking a restraining order and subject to real charges with some weight behind them. I would prefer they just rounded up all of the trespassers so the same would hold true for them and make their moves on to the work site far more punishable but as of yet they haven't even tried to do that.

Well I agree with some of what you say Dean, but I don't think the sheriff deserves the criticism you posted. Its easy to sit in Bismarck and bitch but until you are on the front line maybe lighten up a little and give law enforcement SOME credit. Yea the reporter is a spin master, but the real stupidity was the DAPL hiring private security and sending them in with dogs and horses. What do you think the natives are going to do when the see the keystone cops show up. They are going to bait them into the very actions the cameras caught and spin, spin, spin it into racism. And I really doubt the pipeline will be allowed to continue on its original path after that fiasco. I doubt you know if the sheriff made the call to arrest the nut job reporter or if that order came from someone above the sheriffs pay grade.

So, what do you want the sheriff to do? Go in there with the troops and start thumping heads? Rubber bullets? Tear gas?
We need the Obummer administration to either allow or reject the pipeline crossing Oahe, that decision will determine the course of action, and it could get very ugly for the protesters.

I think the DAPL is now DOA, I hope I am wrong.

Your absolutely correct on the idiotic moves from both sides and I have been down on the front lines for about a some total of 30 hours total. Went and walked around the camp and up the hill. Wanted to here what they had to say and to see the overall breakdown on who really is peaceful and who isn't. That was about three weeks or so ago so not sure how it is now but back then it was clear most of the hard core rhetoric was being pushed by outsiders many of them white. Overall I learned that the vast majority were peaceful but insanely uninformed.

As to what to do...they need to start standing up to the threat and try and arrest as many as they can so that the restraining order grows some legs. I fully understand that it's a crazy hard balancing act on how hard you push forward so as not to trigger them into going batshit crazy. But this do nothing bull shit has allowed this fire to grow out of control and get so large that when it comes time for action they are in for a drastically harder fight now then what it would have been if they would have nipt it in the bud earlier.

I don't think it's DOA simply because they ran a shitload of pipe in the ground well they could and are continuing to work everywhere else other than the Crossing so the government would be in for a big f****** bill if they try to stop them completely. Now the crossing is very possibly dead and why they made the 20 mile rule so as to aid in rerouting to the north someplace. I have to believe though that the east side is long since in since that's were that leg started.

I am almost positive they have the pipe in on the east side of the river already, when fishing down south this summer there was a scar heading over the hill down to the water, I am pretty sure that was for the pipeline. There were a bunch of workers staying at the badger camp ground north of Beaver bay also. Its a screwed up situation, Obummer admin probably wont make any decision until well past freeze up anyways, and the corps does not have a good record of using common sense when making decisions, so I suspect its a dead pipeline, a reroute for sure anyways.

Does anyone realize who is waiting at the other end of this pipeline for the oil to start flowing ? The same guy that proposed the lifting of the crude oil export ban, Rick Perry. Former Gov. of Texas. He was going to run for POTUS until he had two felonies slapped on him for abusing his power. He had to spend 2.6 million or so of his campaign money to pay off his lawyers. I am leery of Oil companies and politicians, Especially when you mx the two and have politicians on the payroll.
