Just a quick FYI to all in western and central ND, if you are one of the adventurous who like to icefish the rivers, we are absolutely experiencing runoff along most of those small rivers, up to and including the Missouri and Yellowstone rivers west of Williston.

This is going to be leading to some very sketchy ice conditions as river levels fluctuate over the next several days. Not terribly worried about flooding right now as there isn't a lot of volume coming down any of the streams, but shorelines are sure going to be sketchy as rivers rise and I can't rule out considerable ice loss on those streams, especially streams in the western part of the State: Spring Creek, the Knife, Heart, Cannonball, Cedar Creek, etc etc. The Yellowstone is rising out in MT, again not a lot of water, but it is raising concerns with the ice in eastern MT and that will eventually work its way towards the Missouri River by Williston.

Pretty early to be thinking of concerns with the rivers, but it isn't exactly unprecedented.

Be safe out there fellas!
