I totally believe in them, it's like the legend of an always horny wife, some say they exist but I have yet to see one.

I have a good friend who's father was a very bright attorney that sat in a prominent elected position in ND for many, many years. We were at their lake cabin in northern Minnesota one summer. We were out on their boat night fishing walleyes at 2am. it was one of those dead calm nights where you could of heard people talking from a mile away. We watched a round light come down over the water, it came down slowly and stopped at what looked like 20-30 feet over the water at a range of a 3/4 of a mile from us. It sat there for about 5 seconds and then as fast as anything I've ever seen it took off sideways, gaining elevation and was gone over the trees. It never made a sound. This was back in high school when no one had a phone to take a picture.

We all sat there looking at each other. My friends day looked at us and said, "We will never speak of this with anyone other than ourselves.", and he was dead serious. Looking back, I'm sure he concerned that people would think he was crazy and it would impact his career. We all knew what we saw.

I've been around this website and FBO long enough that you guys should know that I'm about as normal as the next guy. Say what you want about Sasquatch, I've never met him....but that was no man-made aircraft we saw that night. Pretty awesome experience.

Why did/do the Natives have a name for them? Not saying this incident couldn't be a hoax.

They couldn't keep following the tracks? What did it do catch a ride? Wouldn't you try to get some pics or video of it?

Not saying it couldn't be true but I'm skeptical when the only evidence are some big footprints in the snow.

That's where things get mighty weird.

There are a few articles floating around from local papers, One of them explained that it was raining the day that he was tracking, I remember how yucky the weather was here and considering it was Christmas Day to boot , He probably trailed what ever it was about 7 miles more than I would have, I don't know what to think.

I have a good friend in Utah that was a Govt. trapper before he retired and became a construction contractor , We spent a lot of time together and He was down to earth, credible and as believable as anyone I have ever met and he swears up and down that they exist.
He mostly hunted with hounds and a mule and told how the hounds and mule acted , The hounds needed coaxing to even trail and they would never run ahead like they do with a cat or bear. The mule turned into a chicken and his ears were laid back more than moving like it did when on a cat/bear trail.
I told him it sounded like somebody crafted a set of feet and bolted them to a set of sheetrock stilts but that theory was busted when he told me he played out his mule and was further behind than when he started trailing it.

When I was in 7th or 8th grade about 1972 in Harvey N.D. I got all of the bladders out of the milk machine in the school kitchen. There like 5 gallons and we would fill them with water and drop them on to the trains has they went under the vidock (Foot bridge going over the railroad tracks). We went to easter service at the church and they handed out candle for the candle light service. I took one of the candles and stuck it in the stem of the bladder and the bladder started to expand. I let that bladder go and it started to rise in the sky. I dont know how high it got. My guess maybe 1/4 mile and it was drifting across town. I remember people hollering that it was a UFO. It was in the air for maybe 5 min or so before it got to hot and melted a hole in the bladder and it was gone. People talked about that for yrs. And I knew the truth and so did my parents. But it was fun listening to them talk about it.

Just a 13 yr old boy having fun.
