Evidently the guys in this one did to. I think they do float but like at roof level if they go thru, as in they won't go all the way to the bottom.

That’s straight up open water? Where is there open water right now, weird.

It’s cool those sno bears technically float, but how the hell do you get that back on the ice and retrieve that? I’ve had to retrieve an atv before and even that I was just about to give up.

Do sno-bears float, or not sink. Discuss amongst yourselves!

Not weird at all. That's a narrow area with current flowing from a culvert or bridge. These people were dumb asses.

Maybe they were driving in low light? Not sure I want to call them stupid because that almost looks to obvious unless you couldn’t see it.

THAT'S an expensive oops right there! Glad everyone is OK. Thinking about what could have happened in a place like that with current taking folks under the ice makes my stomach knot up. YIKES!!!

We got ditches flowing due to the drain tile pumps running full time all winter long.

Same here. Tile lines been running all winter which is why I stayed off the ice this year. Too much moving water for my tastes. Even my beloved Sheyenne River hasn't froze over one time this year. Even the slow water in Valley City has had big open spots all winter. Makes me hope when the warm weather returns, guys get off the ice early. Be safe out there.

This "was" just flat out "idiotic". Culvert has not froze up all year. Not sure what would make him think he could drive around it. There is open water right in front of culvert and then out about 30 yds. "Nobody" else does.

I'm as shocked as everybody as to why people were driving in that area of the lake. It's been open water all year long and there are two great access points just a little further down the road.
