Dryden Ontario, Dude just caught and released a 22# rock lizard !!!
It was caught in 35 ft of water using a Lunkerhunt Bento Bait in Dace pattern. It measured 34.5-in long with a 22-in girth. It was live released north of Dryden Ontario.
According to the record books, the current Ontario record is 22.25-lbs, 36.5-in long with a 21 inch girth. It was caught in 1943 by Patrick Noon on the Niagara River.
The measurements are close. Ultimately it was released so not an eligible record. Still an epic fish.
