Looking for recommendations on an antenna for my permanent. Only looking for ones that will mount on the side since I don't want to cut a hole in the roof. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have one of those in my ice castle and have not been able to get it to work for whatever reason. I wonder if I cannot find some sort of switch to it

Would be nice to watch playoff football in the fish house this winter.

go to https://www.antennaweb.org/ to make sure you are even in a spot that you can get signal. turns out i don't think the new all digital signals carry as far. i know devils lake used to get good signals on numerous channels. not so much anymore.

This...

Digital F'd everything up. We wound up buying an antenna for our home (Eff you cable/dish!) and they had to calibrate it JUST SO for us to get a clear signal. And we are in Fargo! I can't imagine the frustration of trying to get a digital signal when you're in the middle of a lake in an ice house.

i've tried a few different antennas on the lake. one evening i got 4 or 5 pbs stations. never been able to duplicate that. ever since then, i've never gotten a single channel while on the lake. now we use chromecast or our laptop with dishanywhere and connect it right to the TV. eats up data. but, its a small price to pay for TV in the ice house.

I can get 4 PBS stations at the casino slip with a booster , Doesn't matter if I have an antenna connected to the booster or not. I ;:;banghead trying to get WDAZ couldn't get it. Problem I see with the new TVs is the channel search , Should be able to lock in a channel on the tv and then search for it with a directional antenna.

I am considering pulling my directv box out of my camper, and loading it up with stuff to watch on the dvr part of it, then having a library of shows that way.

I am looking for one that scrambles all signals including the cell phone. Complete and udder quiet except for the laugh of your buddy and/or the sound of a bobber going "plunk" or a rattle reel starting a slow descent.

Yeah. I thought the hole was supposed to be the TV.

My old man was just as strict with fishing as he was hunting, He would throw oyster shells down and watch big northerns bump his smelt. Even a creak in the floor that you didn't have any control over got a stern SSSHHHHHHH .
