It's a Chrony Beta. Since you questioned this I had to get into my programs where I shoot at 800 yards with a 100 yard zero then use the minutes of angle that I have to adjust to to verify my velocity. I think other things enter into this because it often doesn't agree with my Chrony, or my scope. For example I did this with my 300 Win Mag and adusting velocity said I had to use 3060 fps for a 210 gr bullet out of a 28.5 inch barrel. My Chrony said 3017fps. So I set up a yard stick at 50 yards, I know 100 yards would have been better, but I did this in my yards so multiplied by 2. Anyway the problem was the Nikon scope when dialed to 20 minutes of angle actually gave me 21 inches (or something like that). So I believe 3017fps was right, but I have to leave the program at 3060 to hit things at 1000 yards.

I have Vortex PST scopes first focal plane on both rifles. Evidently my reloads which copy Hornady factory of 41.5gr of H4350 get 2750fps out of my 24 inch barrel and 2825 fps out of my 26 inch barrel. More of what both of us would have expected. The only hitch here is the 24 inch barrel verification was at 45 degrees and the program for the 26 inch barrel I evidently forgot to enter temperature because it's at the 59 degree default. I always forget things and often have to chronograph everything about six times. Looks like I have more chronographing ahead of myself. [QUOTE="PrairieGhost, post: 313967, member: 704"] :( dang I'm getting old I had to go look. It's a Chrony Beta.
