Well, sold my boat last week, so with that gone I'm really starting to get the ice fishing itch. Getting the Ranger out this weekend to start doing the maintenance, and I think I'm going to put power steering in it this year to help with the tracks.

More "Pre-snow" really than pre-ice-fishing but I'll be putting a synthetic winch cable and new plow mount on ATV in the next couple weekends. Probably replace a bunch of loose/missing body push-pins too. Whoever came up with those things needs a lob-wedge between the blinkers.

Once the rifle tag is filled, then it can become winter. There's some greatsoft water fishing mid-November. I did buy a new light for the ice house the other day. It was $40 at Home of Economy. Camped in the backyard with the boys the other night and it was great. I also saw Home of Economy was starting to out up ice tackle.

My pre-season list was completed when i found a used K-drill and clam conversion kit for an astoundingly low price. I'm ready. No bow, no rifle tag. Just pheasants and fishing from here on out for me.
