The other thread made me hungary, sad (f'n diet & oil bust) and in the mood for reminiscing.

What is everyone's favorite wing, as in sauce, flavor, rub or place?

And what is the hottest you've tried or laughed at someone trying.

I like the desert heat from BWW

I have had BWW Blazin' and survived but my face was numb.

Hottest was near some place near interstate in Fargo, I don't remember the name on the place but it had décor like a gas station and their hottest was insane. My son thought he was cool and wanted the hottest, half a wing and he was outside, packing his mouth with snow. I ate the 3 1/2 that were left because I am a cheap bastard and they were miserably hot.

Best tasting was a carribean jerk at Old Broadway in St. Cloud, not sure if it is a St Cloud thing but have been craving to hit an Old Chicago for way too long.

JDs in Dickinson, Parrot Cay in GF. For those that make them at home, try smoking them. It's a whole 'nother layer of flavor.

You may not believe this but the Walmart hot wings are my favorite. They are not extremely hot but they have a good flavor and a little zing. I'm addicted to them and pick up some nearly every time I shop there.

Winsor Bar has a parmesean garlic that is really good better than BWW IMO. They also have a PBJ wing that is actually pretty good. The Black Pelican in Wyndmere has really really good wings. Eden,SD has one heck of a wing night too.

I know I'm in the minority, but I can't stand BWW. Microwaved wings rolled in sauce from a bottle. Meh.

In the northern valley, nobody tops Parrot's Cay. Love their regular wings, but their Shark Wings are my favorite. I could bathe in that sauce.

In the souther valley, Silver Dollar in West Fargo. They smoke their wings until they are fall-off-the-bone tender, then fry them quick and slather them in some awesome just-right-spicy sauce. Frigging. Amazing.

I rarely go to BWW anymore. In Grand Forks, behind Parrots Cay, my next favorite would be Wild Bills. And as a bonus Wild Bills has a damn good Ceasar.

Standard buffalo hot wings on the bone at Sidekicks in Minot. Boneless wings are for women & children.

I had BWW's last night. The hatred I have for myself is paralleled by the hatred my GI tract has for my ideas. Never again.

I'm not sure if it's synthetic capsaicin that they maybe use or what... but I just can't eat it anymore.

Other wings are "OK" (not great) the next day - but BWW's are toxic to my system... even the modestly hot ones. One single wing equals regret.

- - - Updated - - -

they have two or three "dry rub" recipes - those are way better and non-toxic

because the north BWW is one block from my biz it is often a meeting location for biz purposes

and big jack daddy burgers aren't bad

Ate the hottest ones at bww. 3 beers a wing, ate about 6 of them. That was an intense 10 minutes.
