The night of Thursday Oct 6, I was able to take the best white-tailed buck of my life...and to top it off I got it with a bow!
I am in my mid-50s and have hunted deer all my life, but mostly with a rifle.
My wife and I became empty nesters this summer and anticipating this life-change I returned to a long absence from bow hunting a few years ago.
I consider myself lucky to have a few close friends who have invited me to bow hunt with them on their properties, and without their help, I would never have had a chance at a deer like 'Big-boy.'
I want to thank them for all of the little things they did to help me take a magnificent animal!
I hate to admit it, but they really did all of the hard work, like putting up the stand, placing trail cams, helping me track the buck once I shot it and even taking a some great photos of me with the buck in the dead of night!
Thanks to them (and they know who they are), I will have some great memories every time I look up and see Big-boy on the wall.

That's a stud he looks bigger dead than he did in the trail cam photos and he was big in them. Congrats.

Congratulations on a beautiful Whitetail! That one will make you smile every time you look at him for the rest of your life.

You have some great friends too, hope you're buying next time you're all together.

I have to ask though why do you have a tampon on your forehead? ;:;rofl

Thanks! I agree! Doing things all on your own can be rewarding, but you are still alone.
I am not afraid to admit that people have helped me along the way.
