Even with the cheap scope it's headshots. It's been all nuisance, but in a month it might be time for some squirrel and dumplings.

Wait for a good/couple frosts. Fleas/warbles. Don't be too quick to retrieve. ^^^^ Same w/cottontail rabbit. Fleas will coat your arm.

I would just shoot under them and see how high I could launch one. Most would be full on running before they got back to earth. LB

So I have eaten rabbit but never squirrel. I realize its very popular in the south and east and wouldn't be opposed to trying it. Any way on the new season of Clarkson's Farm one episode he held an unusual food night in his restarunt where he had his chef make all kinds of organ meat and other foods that people arent used to eating. And when the people tried the squirrel they said the meat wasnt bad but that the smell almost made them puke. And this wasn't just one person it was alot of them. I had never heard that before and have watched chef andrew zimmern cook it and he never commented on it so I was wondering if its actually a thing or just people over reacting.

It's a privileged palate, non-dependence on hunting and being force fed fucking liver in adolescence: Fucking abundance and America.

In my day over under small game was .22 Lr top barrel 4" 410 bottom barrel wish I still had that weapon
