I am American

Where my great great grandparents came from is of no consequence, I will not refer to myself as German American. I was born in America, my father was, his father was, and his father was.

American is my heritage, and once we all rid ourselves from categorizing where great great grandma came from we can end all this oppression.

Why is it you can be African American, native American, Latino American, Asian American, or white?
Are white folks somehow not American?
Thanks obama

My moms side, I am 5th gen ND. Grandpa (100% Norwegian) grew up north of Larson on the canadian border. Grandma (100% German) grew up near Silva.

My dads side is from south central missouri. One of my grandpas sisters did a genealogy study, traced the family back to north carolina in the early 1700s, prior to that great Britain and Denmark. We even have our own crest! tuck_large.gif

My wife has ancestors from this area before there was a state line, back to the dawn of man on this continent. On her mothers side. Me, well for ND I would be the first. As far as SD, my great grand father came through Ellis Island from Norway. They instantly settled in SD as far as I know. Watertown area is where the family farmsteads are at.

Yup, I am Norwegian, Swede, Scotch, and French, but when I go to the doctor or anywhere that I have to check of that crap I check other and write in White American. Gets me some funny looks, but that's the way it is doc.

Diversity is anti unity and the liberal scum suckers know it. They play the minorities like a fiddle. When are the minorities going to wise up?

We all supposedly came from Africa. When will WE wise up? I checked "other/choose not to answer" (which of course means "white") on my last mortgage and got a funny look. I got a slight elbow from the wife at the time when I asked the loan lady how my skin tone affected my credit. Didn't have a problem.

I've decided that regardless of the truth, I'm going to identify with whatever group will get me what I want. I applied for a 500K govt. grant program, so this week I'm a left handed, over weight, follicly challenged, hermaphodite suffering from workaphobic tendencies and exhibiting latent father issues. Figure I'm a shoe in for the cash. Then when they audit me in 2 years, I'm going to claim to be suffering from narcissistic histrionic disorders with compulsive lying symptomologies which prevents me from telling the truth of forms so as such can't be held accountable for my actions thus they can't take the money I've already spent away from me and will sentence me to a country club with stacked nurses, a golf course, and all the ice cream and sprinkles I can eat where I will undergo mental health evaluations where the only thing I'm required to do is vote democrat in November. Immediately after the election I'll be discharged on my own cognizance and once again be free to be whomever I wish. U.S. Senator has a nice ring to it...........

3/4 German + 1/4 Irish = beer/whiskey-loving, melanin-deficient, stubborn American.

One set of great-grandparents came to US and ND about 1900. Other set of grandparents came to ND about 1920 but that part of the family has been in the US forever. Haven't traced them back to the Mayflower but do know that they were in the eastern and southeast US possibly in the 1700's and for sure the early 1800's. Haven't found any famous ancestors but then again haven't found any on the other end of the spectrum either.

One side is 3/4 Norwegian and 1/4 Swede, 3rd gen born here, most arrived around 1905. The other side has basically been here since before Columbus showed up. Lakota and Chippewa for as far as we can make it back and the French snuck in there about 4 generations ago so basically Metis on that side but not quite. Result is basically a Paul Bunyan impersonator with no calves, I'm a mess.
