so flat and smooth, you could use them as a cutting board. Although, a good knife just might cut through them.

are they flimsy? please tell me they didn't scrimp to save $0.25 worth of aluminum and make them easily dentable/krinked

These plates are actually more expensive than the old ones but are expected to last longer, so says the DOT.

One racist.....lower right corner. He doesn't like Native Americans as they killed several members of his family a bunch of times.

Why desert brown? Less than 1/8th of the state has this background. Needed more green and less hazy sunset. Also the flimsiness makes it seem cheap.

I'm so glad these are more durable, I just hate it when my license plates wear out.

Right, what a joke and waste of money, I still have a "B" plate on an old pickup that looks fine. They could have at least made them look less like MN plates than our old ones.

I agree with johnr. The new plates have a lot more purple in them when you actually see them out on the road. I travel 300-400 miles a day for work and have seen several new plates and not once was I able to tell there was a bison in the bottom corner.

can't wait for next spring/summer when those plates will be a common sight by our beautiful MN lakes.

How effing funny would that be with a few derricks, windmills, Union soldiers and Indians glaring at one another in the background; with that buffalo looking like WTF?!!: As it does now

I wished they would've worked in the state bird (mosquito) and the state tree (telephone pole).
