Did I hear it right? Flags at half staff? Not right imo, should be done for public officials, high ranking officers and should be done on memorial and veterans day, but not for 50 gays. Don't get me wrong, this is a sad deal, but does not deserve lowering flags in my opinion.

We can't have it both ways. This is either a terrorist attack on our COUNTRY by Radical Islamic terrorism or it is just another killing that has nothing to do with att king our country. We are at war with these radicals no matter who they kill in our country.

They lowered it for a Crack Whore by the name of Whitney Houston, so I think the reservations about lowering the flag for only those who served this nation has already been thrown out the window along with any respect and honor for those who actually deserve this accolade. While I'm not belittling those involved with this tragedy in any way, if we continue to ignore the truth about islam and we want to lower the flag for every group of people that get gunned down by these folks, we might as well just leave the thing at half mast. We've already had several on Army bases and the recruiters office, and I believe this is only the beginning. The harsh realities of these people is this type of thing WILL continue until this group is dealt with. You hear very little in the way of denouncing these actions by any islamic group. WHY you may ask. Infidels, have and deserve, no rights, regard, or recognition in any way according to them. Muslims can lie to you, cheat you, steal from you, and kill you without ever "Sinning" in the eyes of the quran (Koran) because you are an infidel. "Convert or Kill", or some derivation, is mentioned several times in their so called "Holy Books". Look it up people. Israel has been dealing with this stuff for centuries. We are just coming to the party. Homosexuality is especially frowned upon. Look up the penalties for that lifestyle in the Koran and you'll see what many IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN VETERANS has seen in living color. This Ideology is pure evil by their own words and deeds. They kill one another all the time over "Honor". Stoning a woman for being found with a man (not her husband) alone in the same room is common and is usually approved by the village as a whole. Become educated on what these people stand for and what they are trying to do. If you really want to have your eyes opened, read the quran or become familiar with what the the sunnah, consensus, or ijtihad are. The last two are my favorite as essentially a group of men or a man can basically come up with whatever they want. Knowledge is one of the best weapons anyone can have.

As I've said before, My deepest sympathies to the families of those involved!!!

The biggest shocker for me was a gal I used to work with who is a big farmer from north of Devils Lake. "There is no reason anyone needs to own an AR," she stated. "And if you're a hunter and need that much firepower, you're pathetic."

I pointed out that, to date, I've had approximately zero ranchers complain about me using an AR to shoot coyotes instead of a bolt-action rifle.

She had no response.

Just to clarify, it was Republican governor Chris Christie who declared that flags be flown at half staff in New Jersey for the crack whore, it wasn't nationwide, or Obama declared.

I'm as pro gun as you can get, but can someone explain to me how in the world can a person be on a terror watch list yet they can go buy a gun. or many guns? Do we think the NRA just might have a little too much lobbying power?
