Anyone paying attention to the show this year? I'm a sucker for new tackle and seen rapala has two new jigging rap lures coming out. The slab rap and flat jig look interesting.

Great, Every year I feel like I have about all the lures I need in my ice fishing box. Then somebody has to come out with another lure that I need 1 or 5 of. Bastards!

Yep, new stuff is cool.

I saw MinnKota finally came out with new hardware and software to make the Ipilots more accurate. Be interesting to see how they perform. Seemed to have taken long enough. They left a window open there for MotorGuide and MG seems to have taken advantage of it with the XI5.

I think someone (Rapala) needs to make a lure called the "slap rap". I need to work for Rapala, in the lure-naming-department. I could sit around all day, with my socks and shoes off, and dream up names like:

The Tuning Fork
Pighead
Sucker Punch
Dirtymike
Elbow Room
Six-In-The-Morning
The Milo
Roses

Why, I'd be rich!!

Hopefully they'll re-think their pricing on it too, that's way too much for an ice flasher...that being said, I'll probably check them out, I love my LX-7.

Minnkota re-designed the terrova too, looks like I'll be selling my terrova link and getting the new one if it performs...the ipilot link is used heavily by me, so if it's truly more accurate, and the motor is quieter, I'm sold.

I paid too much for my flx 28 at ~$600. Hell if I'm going to pay over a grand for an ice flasher. Especially when one could buy a Helix and slap an ice ducer on it, then put it back on the boat for the summer.

The helix for ice fishing is a joke. saw one last year, and it was unusable with other flashers around

I have used the lx-7 and the lowrance flasher. They arent as good as the vex for target seperation and working in extreme weather when the flasher gets super iced up.

plus the boat applications for the rt9 make it a little more intriguing. have gps, sonar, music, games for the kids, its wifi and blutooth so you can walk around with the damn thing. Pretty cool idea anyway
