My "ship of understanding" sailed when they broke through a fence, started a fight with private security, and then complained that they were the victims. There's probably plenty that were still back at camp shaking their heads, but since the Native Americans are heavy on respect, the younger people were probably told what to do. I'm really ready for this all to be done regardless of which way it goes.

The oil guys are smart. They will pull back and wait until December when the frost is still shallow and winds are starting to get deadly cold. These idiots will all but be gone. No matter how careful the state acts in order to accomodate the sensibilities of the degenerates, the state will be painted poorly by the media. It's being talked about in a news conference with the Governor right now. National Guard is coming in and the sheriff's are going to be relieved to do their own job which is public safety and open to answer public safety calls once again.

While I am not for instigating violence but lets not get carried away, leave the guns behind and join them on common ground and lets go at it with steel T posts which from a lot of the videos from last Saturdays uprising they were threatening the pipeline company with. Saw several of the protesters carrying steel t-posts in the videos.

As far as wealth of Standing Rock? I would say no, based on the fact that they have not benefitted from the oil boom and a couple members of the tribe that I know get between zero and a very very small amount of annual assistance from the tribe.

Honestly, I think if they showed this much opposition during the approval process and PSC meetings I think they would have stood a good chance to get a reroute or some sort of resolution.

At this point, if I am not mistaken pipe is already in the ground to the west and to the east so any reroute is out of the question, unless the courts step in
