we think its bad now, wait till the media puts a spin on the NG being there
Helpless peaceful Protesters have the military used against them

My "ship of understanding" sailed when they broke through a fence, started a fight with private security, and then complained that they were the victims. There's probably plenty that were still back at camp shaking their heads, but since the Native Americans are heavy on respect, the younger people were probably told what to do. I'm really ready for this all to be done regardless of which way it goes.

I fully agree. you cant play the victim card when you start the fight after breaking down a barrier put up for the protection of both sides.
It needs to be put to an end

The oil guys are smart. They will pull back and wait until December when the frost is still shallow and winds are starting to get deadly cold. These idiots will all but be gone. They will come in with a temporary precast concrete structure for the boys to work in and by January things should be about buttoned up.
Except they can't wait that long or the permit from the Corp will expire before they can complete the drilling in of the line.

I respect a people that respect themselves I'm not seeing that here. This whole thing reeks of (Notice Me). I hear that's its about a leak that could happen and contaminate the water. To me its a little late for that considering that there are pipes under all water ways now and have been for a long period of time. to be honest with you we all know the outcome, judge will go with the pipeline NG will be called in Native Americans will be painted as being taking advantage of by the media. Win Win both sides

No matter how careful the state acts in order to accomodate the sensibilities of the degenerates, the state will be painted poorly by the media. So why not just get it the $&@# over with and kick them the *%#+@$ off the private and Corp land they're occupying?!?! Every single day is costing taxpayers and the company tens of thousands of dollars. Every single day. KICK THEM OUT NOW.

I would love to see about 1000 pro-oil people show up to protest the protestors. Maybe even with AR's strapped to em. you know, a show of solidarity.

It's being talked about in a news conference with the Governor right now. National Guard is coming in and the sheriff's are going to be relieved to do their own job which is public safety and open to answer public safety calls once again.

While I am not for instigating violence but lets not get carried away, leave the guns behind and join them on common ground and lets go at it with steel T posts which from a lot of the videos from last Saturdays uprising they were threatening the pipeline company with. Saw several of the protesters carrying steel t-posts in the videos.

It seems they will be taking more of backseat support role from the article. I don't think they will want any guard units on the front lines of the protest.

As far as wealth of Standing Rock? I would say no, based on the fact that they have not benefitted from the oil boom and a couple members of the tribe that I know get between zero and a very very small amount of annual assistance from the tribe.

Honestly, I think if they showed this much opposition during the approval process and PSC meetings I think they would have stood a good chance to get a reroute or some sort of resolution.

At this point, if I am not mistaken pipe is already in the ground to the west and to the east so any reroute is out of the question, unless the courts step in
