MORTON COUNTY, ND - Around 250 protesters have shut down a Dakota Access Pipeline construction site according to the Morton County Sheriffs Office.
Because of this traffic on Highway 1806 has been stopped in both directions.
The sheriff's office says four people locked themselves to their own vehicle on the construction site and slashed the vehicles tires. There have been multiple arrests on site.
Morton County Sheriff was notified of the protest activity at around 5:20 am Saturday. They say the group of protesters marched up highway 1806 and then west several miles to the construction site.
Highway 1806 will remain closed until further notice.
We will continue to update this story as details become available.

Well were now up to 83 arrested including one that took a cops own pepper spray and sprayed the cop so he got assault on an officer added to his list of charges! They cab feel that they are loosing so escalating the fight may be the norm from here on.

Had a few drinks tonight so please tell me I'm off base when I say we may be starting to Crest over the tripping point that may well lead into a self reinforcing spiral where there's nothing left to do then to do more than you did the day before. Mindsets like that can almost never be reasoned with even with hard facts and common since! Maybe I'm wrong but either way deer season opened today and the first time I go down there i will have a fully packed AR15 , Benelli Super Black Eagle with the plug pulled and my standard deer rifle and my .17 for just incase.. All told probably in excess of 1500 to 2000 rounds ready to fly to a moments notice So I guess if they want to start some shit they better get me in the first shot or two because after that they will find out first had what life long training in wepons handling can do to a little wannabe gange thug when he starts shit in a place he or she ought not to!
