Don't forget to install some overhead fans. I have 2 in our 3 stall garage and they are also wireless so i can control from the ground. Each one is on a separate controller.

Big ass fans makes a light. The big ass light is awesome, I had a tough time deciding how to light my new shed.
I'm very happy with my decision.

I have the product of 1971 wiring in my garage so I'm stuck with old screw in fixtures until I can lure my father in law to come to bismarck. I found some giant bulbs at menards, which I'm guessing are for the light on the nose landing gear of a 747. They are incredibly bright and add a bit of warmth to the garage. Because of the heat they put off, I wanted to go to LED fixtures like you decided on.
I believe I posted the specs for the 46" Phillips fluxstream.
Here are the specs for the 48". I'm placing my order now! This is the cheapest I could find them...can anyone do better?

Ended up finding a 10% off coupon to bring the price of these down to $67.50 each. Not bad considering everything else of similar quality was well over $100.
so, just buy screw in LEDs. or are you saying the giant bulbs you found are screw in? i am assuming they aren't because of the heat they put off. it they aren't, you are pissing away a lot of money on electricity. screw in LEDs will cost a fraction of any large bulb that is wasting a bunch of electricity producing heat.
Because they produce a bunch of light. I'm not going to buy LED bulbs until I get new fixtures installed.

and to be honest, they're not on very much so I can't imagine I'll go broke running them.
Especially with all the money you save by detailing your own truck:;:cheers
If you seen my truck, inside or outside, you know no one has detailed it. It's for the birds.

I wouldn't go with anything other than these. I have 7 of them hanging in a 1250 sqft garage- they are spaced about 10 feet apart vaulted ceiling, about 20' high in the middle, about 14' high where the fixtures are. They are just screwed into regular old cheap plastic light bulb fixtures. Garage is probably the brightest room in my house.
