Seen on the news tonight all the east river towns with no power. Thought to myself, sure glad we got power, then at 7:30 it went out WTF.

The no power would suck, especially if your water pipes froze. I have 2-20lb propane bottles and a big buddy heater, and 2 Mr. heaters so hopefully can keep the house above freezing if the power goes out.

I'm guessing Fort Yates got 12 - 15 in. Its hard to say. FN plows this year suck. Usually the tribe runs them constantly, almost to much. Sure glad I found a snow blower on bisman. Its only a 22" 5hp but works great. Takes a little patience with a 2 foot drift but I blew my driveway out in no time. Needless to say I didnt take the wife to PKC though. The main road into town was blocked I think. Took a short drive at 10 am n wind was still blowing couldnt see shit.

Big jacked up truck tried to get down my road this morning. He turned around and I laughed at all his middle finger skeleton hand and brass knuckle stickers. Good thing he had big mudders and a light bar.

Well the power came back on :;:thumbsup Out just long enough to get all set up with lanterns n heater. I was watching MNF on tablet using my phones hotspot. I have some battery packs for jump starting cars, but they weren't very charged. That's one thing I should have had ready. I also have a generator, but haven't run it in a couple years. Gonna have to see if I can get it running just in case. I don't think this is the last blast we're gonna have this winter.

The Facebook classifieds are usually good for a laugh or 2 during snow storms, usually get posts from the flat bill wearing, tap out tee shirt, jacked up truck crowd saying if you get stuck text them and they will rescue you with their ( their dads) super truck. 10 minutes later they are on the same site looking for a tow because they don't know how to fucking drive

Drove 70 miles before I ever set foot on any of my locations today. Managed to make it up 1806 to Co. 10 and then up 114th a couple miles before I could go no further, waited for a blade and he couldn't make it up the little hill and the 6 to 8 foot drift. Drove back to 1806 up to Tobacco Garden and then back south thru grasslands following the blade. The entire run up 1806 was a whiteknuckler . Pretty sure I dug myself out a dozen times or so.

No idea haven't heard word one out of those dipshits. Guessing most of the weak ones were gone after the last storms and add in the holidays and the fact everyone knew this was coming a week out they must have prepared. I mean seriously at this point they're not even protesting anything it's just a big fucking homeless camp.

West side of town(way west, new development) hasn't been cleared out as of yet, but the rest of the City of Dickinson is the best I have ever seen it this soon after a snow storm.
Must have a new mayor that cracks the whip.Thumbs Up

Thanks guys, for putting your holiday on hold and getting things opened up.

Streets in Bismarck still pretty much truck only off the snow emergency routes. First pic is some big ass piles on watcher...pitty these guys after next storm. Second is third Street and the turn onto Bridgeport and the third is just after the turn onto Bridgeport. One lane traffic off the snow routes at best.

I drove back yesterday morning. Took off at 10 from Elk Point, SD. Finally pulled in the driveway at 3:45. The drive took an extra 2 hrs. No issues until we got past SF, then we started seeing highway signs knocked over by wind. Probably saw 15 signs where the poles (metal and wood) we snapped in have 5-10 ft off the ground. Just N of brookings the roads took a shit. a couple semi's in the ditch, an SUV was pulling an enclosed trailer which had been flipped on its side. I drove probably 50 miles where my ass end was slide to the side doing about 20-30 mph. Get in ND and things started looking better. Pulled onto my gravel road an it looked like we had 2 inches of ice built up on the road. damn near slid into the ditch 2x in 3/4 mile.

Any bets on wether or not he ment to leave his plow blade here!
img_2319.jpg

3 things------1) the muddfader who installed it didn't do it right 2) Tried to ram the snow into pile to hard..snap...bye bye plow, bet
his front looks like crap....
3) Yeah...he left it there for whatever odd reason.

You pick the correct answer...lol
