another time we were at the bar at Woodland Resort (Devils Lake) around dinner time so there were alot of folks around when this jacked up truck pulling a huge older cabin cruiser style boat pulls in to launch. As soon as he stopped he cranked up Ozzy from the boat (must have had concert style speakers because it was incredibly loud) while he was just parked near the ramp. He must have thought he was hot shit. Eventually someone from Woodland went down there and told him to knock it off and as soon as the music stopped people started cheering and yelling "douche bag". Wonder if he still thought he was cool then. Im getting kinda pissed just thinking about this.

Another thing that pisses me off is the shit-head who likes to pull up to a gas station with the windows down and stereo blasting while he goes in the store just so everyone can see/hear how fucking cool he is.

Minot seems to be full of gas station thumpers. I don't get why the assholes can't turn that crap down when they're parked right next to you

Couple of weeks ago, I experienced music from a wake boat for the first time. I am always amazed how inconsiderate some people are. I was walleye fishing near Government Bay. Wake boat was going back and forth along side of the salmon fishermen. Music was loud and annoying. I left the area. Salmon fishermen had no choice but to listed to that crap. Another reason I don't fish weekends very much.

Yeah, that's awesome when I have my kids in my vehicle, with the windows rolled up, and you can still clearly and plainly hear the f-bombs slangin' out their window.

What movie was it, where the d-bag pulls up with his corvette, T-tops off, windows down, with Danger Zone blasting? He parks, goes into the store, and a guy strolls by, looks in the passenger seat at the golf clubs, selects a nice driver, and "smithereens" the radio?

Yep I was one of those punks with the sound system in my car, 3 tens in the trunk Boston's in the doors and rear dash. Had to leave the windows down a little to keep your ears from popping. This was a time when everything was still made in the USA. Nothing like cranking up the chronic by Dre or maybe a little motley crue girls girls girls. It was before the time of computers, video games, cell phones you would sit in the Columbia parking lot or go home drive out to a bon fire pasture party. Fun times, nothing like fucking in the back seat with those system pounding. Oh well it was the thing to do looking at all the new equipment at team electronics drooling over all those custom RF system or Alpine sitting in the parking lot.
Ps I also rode a 1997 CBR900RR 160 mph crazy ass shit

I'm with JohnR on this one, you guys gotta lighten up a bit. Bunch of grumpy old fisherman that think they own the lake, come on guys everyone was a kid at one time! If you think back far enough you might be able to see a small glimmer of you youth. There can be fun had by everyone on the lake, it's just a matter of respect. I've dealt with far more rude fisherman than have jet skis and wakeboards on Sakakawea, I'm sure it's different at other lake or even where you at on the lake. You know the guys that "own" the community fishing spot, or the ones that need to run along the shore cutting between where your fishing and the shore even though there's 10,000 acres of boat free water on the other side of you, or maybe the jackwagon that comes in to a spot where people are trolling or drifting yet they set spot lock or drop and anchor, or the guy that launching by himself and ties up to the side of the dock where the ramp is versus pulling around the other side so other people can unload and load while he's parking his truck and getting bait and stopping at the rest room to take a dump before his day on the water, or..........I can keep going all day long.....I've see an witnessed it all and every weekend I see it happen more.

There's lots of room on our lakes, they're just not that crowded unless your at van hook, lol. The jet skies and people that want to play, pleasure boat, and pontoon around certainly can do so without bugging other people, I reserve no judgement just because they have a tower and speakers on there boat. I mean really? If they drive it like a jackwagon, I'm gonna call them a jackwagon regardless if they have Moomba or Warrior 2090BT!

I'm as much of a die hard fisherman as anyone, said I'd never have a ski boat or a godforsaken jet ski and no I'm not a beach guy but as the kids grew up, my current fishing boat now has a ski pole, I find myself on the beach most really nice afternoons at the lake (after fishing all morning of course), I found a wakeboard rack that mounts to my rails just like my rod holders, holy shit.....a jet ski followed my truck home this spring and the kids have a blast on it (supervised of course so they don't become jackwagons) and low and behold I even take it for spin now and then, gotta make sure it's safe and runs ok, lol; just nobody take a picture of me on it, you might catch a smile on my face.

FYI, my radio runs in my boat probably 80-90% of the time it's on the water.....I wouldn't buy one without.

I've let the boy bring his speaker with a couple times, but I prefer no music. My favorite part of fishing/ hunting is the peacefulnes.

Music helps with tinnitus... don't know what silence or peacefulness are anymore... wear your ear protection..
