Looking into replacing my humminbird graphs and getting rid of my 360 imaging transducer. Is there a market for used electronics? Not sure where to advertise it where I don't get a bunch of tire kickers to bother me at work all day.

The biggest problem with used electronics is many companies won't do repairs on stuff that's more than just a few years old. Lowrance is notorious for this.

From what i've seen it seems like these newer units retain their value pretty well actually. Some are going to pay the extra for the newest and the best but with how far their technology has come you shouldn't have any problem getting some money back out of them

Are you on Facebook? If so check out 'Walleye Boats For Sale". Has quite a few members and you are allowed to post just about anything fishing related.

EBay, walleye central, walleye boats for sale on Facebook(like mentioned above), and you can toss an ad up on here. EBay will give you an idea of what stuff is going for.

Lincoln, kinda...
Market, yes. Exorbitant prices...probably not. Electronics loses about 30-40% of its value each year. So you could maybe get $600-700 for what you paid $1,000 for last year, and $350-$400 for it after year two, etc, etc. By the time it's 3-5 years old, it's not worth much at all to most of us. Regardless of what a person originally paid for it as the advancement in tech is just that fast, as well as the falling price for similar tech that is new with warranty.

I have an LMS 480 graph that must be 14 years old and works like new, but I'd bet nobody here is willing to give me $25 for it.

p.s. I'd toss it up on Bismanonline. Just as likely to get it sold there as anywhere else, I see used electronics on there all the time. As far as the tire kickers, just a function of doing business in used stuff. Or new, for that matter.

sometimes i wonder what they sell this stuff for. IMO alot of it when you see it online is marked up so bad - i dont even bother calling them. When i see a vex that is priced $50 or $25 higher in the store - i just shake my head. I am going to buy the new one vs. the risk.
