That still leaves 5 hours a day for smoking weed, "collecting" signatures and chasing whores.

wish i was 20 again minus the signature part i didnt have time for that. between the sex drugs and rock and roll

If allowed back on the team, I wonder if they would be taking a knee for the unfair treatment they were given.;:;banghead

Forging signatures and smoking weed … I would like to read that list of names …
…yes smoking weed in college is illegal, however so is underage drinking yet everyone knows it happens.
With NDSU’s recent national spotlight and “wholesome” image I believe it was in their best interests to act swiftly and strictly … and I kind of noticed how extremely quiet the local media has been about this, heaven forbid their bread&butter sports stories get tarnished especially right before playoffs…college whores :;:thumbsup … who doesn’t love a good college whore

It's interesting that someone posts about this but I didn't notice the post about the UND players who were booted earlier. Maybe I just missed it.

The coach said what he could on the matter. I think most people are able to connect the dots and or read between the lines. These guys screwed up. For the ones dismissed it was not their first screw up. They had a second chance to toe the line and it's unfortunate they couldn't do it. Hopefully some life lessons were learned.

Pretty easy to kick these guys off and set an example for the rest of the team. Would we be seeing a different story if it was 2 defensive starters and the QB?? Maybe... My guess is these guys had been screwing off before, got warning and didn't take heed. May make some other players/recruits think twice before engaging in such activity. Time will tell. Hate to say it, but you don't have the kind of run the Bison are on by recruiting a team full of hard working choir boys. Bubba found that out this year as well.

You obviously do not pay attention to Grand Forks media .. .this got plenty of coverage, unlike the Fargo media and their bias opinions … I have watched the news every night this week, usual have it on at 5:30, sometimes 9 and again at 10…I have seen this story reported once…yet I have seen the prince harry engagement story like 12 times … basically you have a nationally recognized team going into the playoffs seems like a good story to me, oh but wait the local media can’t ever say anything bad about the golden buffaloes

The fact these guys have not been charged with a crime might have something to do with the coverage.;)

Nope that makes it even more news worthy … if there were charges filed it would be open/shut as to why they were dismissed … at this point you have the number 4 team in the country kicking 3 players off the team without explanation a week before playoffs start…I’m no journalist but if that’s not a spoon feed headline I don’t know what is … I get the national news scene, but I kind of thought our local news was a bit more fair, true news is about reporting to the people, by not reporting you are just as guilty of reporting fake news

Not much to report unless the media actually gets something from the individuals involved. There are certain privacy laws that come into play. What do you want the media to put out there, speculation, rumor and innuendo? It's already running rampant on social media, have at it.

These guys weren't going to play anytime soon anyway. You don't spend your time getting ripped and play at a high level. If thats how they planned to live they would have been done soon anyway I'd be willing to bet. Yes we know of guys that did it on occasion but it's alot more rare than we think. Especially booze, but weed isn't a health supplement either no matter what some guys try to holler about.

Imagine if they had all these rules back in the day we would have never got to see Lawrence Taylor or most of the guys who went to The U back in the day play. hahaha

2 of them actually played. Neither were big contributors. There was a reason their roles were limited and it wasn't because of a lack of talent. Kind of sad that talented guys screw themselves out of huge opportunities but like I said before hopefully lessons learned.

Doesn't the NCAA do random drug tests for all sports, male and female? I wish colleges would voluntarily hold student athletes accountable and do some testing themselves.

But...until I hear from NDSU themselves on a media release...everything on here is rumor or gossip about these 3 dismissed players.

ummm... this has been going on in college sports including at NDSU for a loooonnnnggg time... unless they have cleaned it up recently. a lot of these athletes come from big cities. a lot of kids smoke pot in those cities. and i think its becoming even more prevalent nationwide. i would venture to say its nearly more common and accepted than drinking. i had a good friend who played there for 5 years back in the 90s. he roomed with various unnamed folk both black and white. that place smelled like a marijuana dispensary and stale beer every time i was there.

no. i don't think they do random testing for marijuana. maybe for performance enhancing drugs. but, i am pretty sure they don't do them for illicit drugs.

What we should be doing is weekly piss tests on anybody that is receiving a scholarship. After all it is our tax dollars providing that education.
