I don't know what a hermit hunter is. Maybe the site should have a section (like the political) where controversial topics get moved to... As someone that likes to play Devils Advocate, I enjoy a good discussion, but I don't seem to grasp why people get their panties in a bunch if someone has a different opinion...

There are a couple of outdoor sites where everyone seems to have the same opinions and get along......Nodak Outdoors and FBO.

Everyone left those sites not becasue people disagreed, but becasue those in control were trying to silence those that did not agree.

Now who is left.

It is simply a reflection of the bigger problem in society today. No one can have fact/truth based discussions/debate/disagreements without attacking a person and becoming offended largely because people do not want to acknowledge their role in the truth of an issue and accept the responsibility for it. It is much easier just to call someone racist, greedy, ect....or whatever label is handy or politically popular.

I agree with the original poster. This site became popular after so many people left fishingbuddy because of all of the fighting and bickering. I remember the first people to post on here were so happy that finally they found a site that would discuss hunting and fishing without all of the bickering. Now that's all that seems to happen to every post.

For example, a few months ago I ask about deer hunting around the Cooperstown area and I get blasted by KDM and others for daring to make the observation that I didn't see much posted land. People apparently have a hard time moderating their posts without sounding like jerks.

That is not why everyone left fb. It was the management

Huh, I must have missed something epic. But I'm not a hunter, so I don't have much opinion on tags and rifles versus archery. Also, I'm not huge on ice-fishing, so I am not foaming at the mouth about lakes freezing.

I'm not super happy at how wading fishing absolutely shut off, but nobody I know seems to have any ideas about how to change it, so...

I love lamps too JohnR.

Good place for advice as I need some now:

My little toe started to hurt and after a month I had trouble walking with it. So I went to the clinic for a x-ray.
Lady pushed and pulled on my toe and stated it was not broken.
Asked me how much beer I drank and if I ate steaks. I said yes I enjoy my beer and steaks. Have my fair share. It's why God made barley and cows.

She said I had to much acid in my blood from that diet and it was forming crystals in my joints of my toes.
I said really but what I want is a x-ray. She said no due to radiation not being good for me.
I said now what. Go to lab and draw some blood to see how much excess acid you have. Then what. Get some pills to take and then we will talk about your diet. What about my diet? You need to stop drinking and eating beef. I told her I need a x-ray.
Ok, how about checking my prostate number again as it was 10.56 last time. She said at your age we no longer check. You will die from something else before prostate cancer but not radiation.

So I get the pills and start popping them. About two days later I get a call from the clinic. The lady said I needed to come in a get a x-ray of my toe.
She looks and said your toe is broken and I will make an appointment for you to fix. I said after 6-7 weeks its to late for that. She said tape the two toes together then.

I go see a friend who has been raising elk since the 70s. Cuts the horns off and gets them process in Canada. For $25 I can get a month supply of pills. Elk pills will heal broken bones 3-6 weeks ahead of normal and they are good for arthritis.

Told wife toe is broken and I am going to get some elk pills to fix. Told her they are good for your arthritis also and maybe you want a bottle for your fingers. She said are you sure as I sought elk horns where used for something else. No they fix bones and arthritis. Are there any side effects, I said no, it's not that it's going to put hair on your chest.

Tell you what, I will check with the boys and girls on NDA as they all have a ton of opinions and are quick to express for free (hopefully upset free). DB-2

lol, great story to begin the week... I do have to wonder if the "ground elk horn is good for bones" is supposed to be boners?
