Years ago while camping on an island up by the Missouri and Yellowstone confluence for p-fishing, we used Olympic scorecards to rate how hard people hit the sandbar on the south side of the island. One fiberglass boat hit it so hard the driver and other front seat passenger flew through the windshield and landed in 4-6 inches of water, along with the windshield, coolers, etc.
I felt kind of bad for them as I towed them off that sandbar. I know there were some pretty bad bruises amongst the passengers, and the driver's ego.
You have more class than that. Better to mark the spot with jug, etc. than watch people hit something with a boat and possibly get killed
