I really don't care what your numbers show, when I look at my thermometer that's out my window and it reads -8 that's the temperature that I am going to go by

I'd have to agree with this- that map is bogus. It was -20 sunday morning before dawn at my place- then bounced up to 0 at noon before the storm hit.

No, that map was pretty spot-on for Bismarck. It jumped quickly at 1pm from 12-degrees to 38-degrees just before 4pm. Rained twice @ 4pm and again before 6pm. Then the winds kicked up and the temp dropped to 10-degrees by 9pm. POOF, the system was gone.

If I was an animal I would migrate. Not sure if I ever would come back

Here's yesterday's observed high temperatures from the National Weather Service and would you look at that it shows the same extreme temp gradient and the fact that no one is below zero in North Dakota for a high. I take it the Illuminati must have taken over the National Weather Service or some other government conspiracy to report incorrect temperatures!

i will admit my guesstimation must have been wrong. i was in and out of the truck and the house a bunch yesterday and must have missed the short time window when it spiked above zero.
