Where does it excel? Vertical jigging? Tied to braid or mono? How long of a leader? Which knot to use?

30lb for fishing walleye in pike infested waters, same length as the steal leaders you would use

I use it for leader material and that is it. It is great for that though. I know a lot of people only use a two or three foot leader, I like to go five or six feet.

I have it on jigging rods as a leader. About 4’ 10# flouro leader material tied to power pro with a uni to uni knot.

If I am using a bait caster I use straight flourocarbon since twist isn’t an issue.

I don’t use a small swivel because I don’t want to risk messing up a guide

excels in clear water; generally river I tie direct to braid, lake i'll go with braid/ leader. All types of fishing. Tied to braid. Nothing longer than the rod i'm using. Uni to uni knot. Practice tying that knot a few times to get it down before you jump in a boat. Practice, practice, practice.

I recently figured out how to tie the FG knot. Previous attempts were failures as I could bust the knot with a simple pull on both lines. It’s a much longer process than the modified Albright knot. I see myself still using that one if I’m actively fishing and lose a whole section of leader material. Either way, I think if you’re in any clear water but like the feel of braid, a fluoro leader is the cats pajamas.

haha. I spent 30 minutes in the garage the other night, only tying FG knots. I think I figured it out. However, I can zip together an albright knot in a few seconds. Its been a good knot as well.
