Tony Stewart was and is a hell of a wheel man during his career and is also a hothead that may discipline himself out of racing at some point yet. Fame comes with a price, a price Stewart has had problems dealing with during his career. Will be interesting to see if NASCAR posts punishment as he is still CO-OWNER of a team in NASCAR.

He is a hot headed piece of shit and should not have been allowed back in racing after he killed that guy. How
did he even get to leave the track that night without being tested for drugs or alcohol?

You don’t run on a dirt track . I knew that since I was five and then to come on the right side of a sprint car that is as dumb as going between to Buffalo fighting. Drank a few beers with tony he is a good dude helped more race car drivers than most would ever know.

When else have you ever heard of a guy driving a vehicle involved in a death not having to submit to drug/alcohol testing. The kid had no business being on the track but to me it looks like Tony burped the throttle trying to intimidate the kid and ended up killing him.

Isn't that a law enforcement issue with not submitting a drug or alcohol test? Sucks that someone got killed and feel bad for his family, but need to know the consequences of your actions

Haha, the guy he punched was way bigger than him, and was still trying to get away when he came for him. What a puss. Don't start no shit, there wouldn't be no shit. As much as I don't think we should all be free to go around punching anyone we want whenever we want, I do believe we have lost some accountability as a society when we can spout off to whoever about whatever and not fear blow back. I have been on both sides, learned a hard lesson a couple times, and taught a hard one a couple times. All good in the end. Dont know what the guy said, but for that reaction, likely deserved it. Way to go Smoke.

Stewart's ex-girlfriend: I 'saw what I saw'

Jessica Zemken-Friesen, who dated Stewart in 2011 and had raced dozens of times with Ward, told lawyers she was driving right behind Stewart during the fatal crash.
Question: Did you see him swerve?
Zemken-Friesen: No. I saw him go to the right up the embankment, closer to Kevin, and I saw him hit the gas and I saw the car –
Question: Do you think Mr. Stewart intentionally hit Mr. Ward?

Zemken-Friesen: I don't know what he was thinking or what was going through his mind. I just was behind it and saw what I saw.

Stewart: I saw a figure on the track
In a deposition with Ward's family lawyer, Stewart recalls what happened after Ward crashed:
Question: So when you came around turn 1, did you see his car?
Stewart: Yes...
Question: After you saw his car, you saw him; he was on the track?
Stewart: After I -- yeah, after I saw his car, then I saw him.
Question: Okay. And --
Stewart: Or a figure. I didn't know that it was him...
Stewart: He was running at me
Stewart: I realized he was running down the racetrack toward me.
Question: Okay. For what purpose did you apply throttle to your car?
Stewart: To try to drive the car down to the left to get away from him.
Question: And was that immediately prior to the impact between him and your car?
Stewart: Yes.
Question: And if you apply throttle in that situation and steer to the left, isn't the back of your car going to slide to the right?

Stewart: It did in that scenario, yes.

that x 1000

it's like prosecuting a guy for shooting at an intruder - you'd need to be the thought police to figure out intent

so you give the benefit of the doubt to the guy that wasn't the aggressor

- - - Updated - - -

the guy who got killed created a shit storm for multiple families because he had to go macho man for the cameras

I have spoken

next case please

Guy talks crap, guy get's popped in the mouth. What more is there to the story? Guy-guy at race-track, not you Guy. I would never expect you to talk "crap"

This situation is what's wrong with America.

Consequences for your actions. No matter what the situation it is. Whether it be the race tack, the kids playground, the retirement home or knitting class.

You can talk a little smack for fun, but if you start antagonizing someone, you've got every single bit of what's coming.

For all you tough guys that think it's ok to punch somebody just remember one punch can kill someone and change a lot of lives forever. A "tough guy" in Fargo learned that lesson the hard way. I'd never want to live with that no matter what someone said to me.

I honestly cant imagine being a famous athlete these days. People think that because they paid to watch something that they should just be able to yell and curse and treat athletes like they are a circus animal, and because the athletes are rich they should just have to take it. I personally think more fans should get punched...maybe there wouldn't be so many intoxicated "tough guys" at every sporting event.
