I guess it goes along with hunting for me as well. If I shoot 5 birds, I put the gun away and take control of the dog. If I catch my walleyes, I quit keeping them. Releasing fish is a lot easier than releasing a bird. I've despised party hunting since I was a kid. Two years in a row, I got to the end of a push and the "old timers" had a bunch of does on the ground and one of us youngsters had to tag them.

those were some classy old timers :(

Checkpoints for fish counts and ANS should be a priority.

Maybe he's hunting Standing Rock, where the limit is 5.

If was a game warden, I would count all of lycans minnows. And would do it like the count on Sesame street!

I have a brother in law who still doesn't deer hunt. He had his first deer tag, either a youth or muley buck, get to the end of a 'push' and they've got a little muley buck on the ground for him to tag.

Had a buddy try that shit with me, and I refused.
"Hey I don't have a doe tag, you have to tag this for me"
I said, "Nope" and walked on back to the truck.

The story has more to it, however for safety sake this is the version I share.

I have never tagged an animal I did not shoot, nor will I shoot one and "make" someone else tag it.

I remember a hunt that my brother and I were on with a group of guys we didn't know, but were with my uncles relatives or some such. He and I were the only ones with buck tags and when we got to the end of the walk there were two bucks waiting for us to tag. My brother and I were 15 and 13 at the time and my brother looked them square in the eye and said "F&^K YOU, those bucks aren't ours!! We wouldn't shoot anything so small!!" and walked away. I thought those guys were going to die right then and there. I was a bit scared there was going to be a ruckus, but we made it back to the trucks alright. I have no idea what happened after that, but when my Dad and Uncle heard the story from us, my Uncle tore off to find the group and we NEVER saw any of them again in the 15 or so years we hunted there afterwords. I don't think my Uncle was too fond of illegal party hunting on his property.

No excuse being a game hog!I suspect these guyz are victims from their home territory where native harvests during spawn has reduced the area walleye population near lake collapse, most local wisc lakes have a 1 or 2 daily walleye limit with a very tight slot, these guyz couldn't help it and helped themselves during a walleye feeding freenzie and should pay the price, like stated above, like using meth or crack they couldn't stop.

Never seems to amazing me how the out of staters come here to fish and hunt, and its those that abuse over the limit regs in our state more than our own resident hunters/fishermen, as far as I'm concerned, I believe their mentality is to come here and raped us of our wildlife because their "great' so called state has none. Now, I'm not against them coming here totally, its that I don't like their attitude and the way they disrespect us and our state wildlife regs, then act like their shit don't stink. Some are not all bad, but most don't have a clue.

Yep, blame everything on the non-residents. They are all a bunch of law breaking a**holes and we should ban them all from ever entering our state.

It always amazes me how problems get blamed on non residents or the game and fish department. Everybody should try hunting or fishing out of state once in awhile and see what it's like to be an outsider.

So because you feel that everyone should experience how "hard and tough" it is to hunt and fish out of state, that justifies out of staters reasons for poaching North Dakota's game? That's a legit excuse..........said no one ever. Try again.

Not all of them, just the 'Sconis!! We should gift WI to France, or Iran.

yeah wtf is that? no one said shut the doors or ban nr's. jesus man, what is your damage son? it is a privalige to enjoy the outdoors in nd. time after time after g(*&damn time we here stories of NR's grossly exceeding the linits here in ND. And this isn't a oops we miscounted a fish or two kinda deal. I'm g(*^damn sick of it and so are a lot of people around the state. if there are ant ND legislators reading this it is time we enact laws that put some god#%^ teeth into the fines. either we start hitting em in the wallet or we take away hunting and fishing privaleges in the state. . . . I guarantee you not a single sconi would take the chance of giving up there duck hunting here knowing they could get busted with too many fish... . . . this goes for nodakers as well. . .. . and to the guy claiming they were victims of overfishing by natives in there own state. . . really? they did it to themselves when they let there elected officials appease the non-tax paying voters. . . don't bring that shit here. . . .

I let Guy and Ahab catch their limit. Then I cuss and throw a fit because I'm not old and wise about fishing. Then we go home. Doesn't sound fun, but I keep doing it

If I had friends, I'd be just like you.
