More Snow Next Week?

Getting those Teflon sprays on a drive belt makes for a debilitating combination. I tried using them and I've decided against their utility on my equipment.

If it's not throwing/clearing snow sum ting is wong.

Blew my snowblower yesterday, really had to scramble to find a replacement. It can be fixed but its like 6 weeks out and I cannot wait that long, Not this year anyway. Going to get it fixed just for a backup if I need it.

A heads up all, Check your sewer vents. Mine was completely covered on Ranch home. 15" when cleaned of with roof rake.

Legitimately snowed in for the first time since being in our current house. Got 3 ft drifts across the driveway and it's still piling up. One of our whirly bird vents is completely covered. Looks like I will be on the roof when this blows over. I don't like the feeling nor the dig out that's to come. YUCK!!

Checked natural gas vent this afternoon and it was covered. Had to dig around just to find the vent.

question for you home builders out there. I have a 1950's built house. I'm always cleaning snow off my east side sewer vent. Why can't I put a PVC extention on it? Already have one of those copper T's in it. Don't think they work with a foot or more of snow on it. Are new home pipes only that high?

The longer you make it, the easier it freezes up. If you insulated it really well and used a copper T that was sufficiently long to get down into the warmth, it might be ok.

They make black plastic insulated covers to put over your vents. They help a lot and then put your copper T in it.
You have to know what size vent pipe/pipes you have on your roof.
