go back a page or two youll see how I did......4- for 42 not a bad opener not the greatest ive done... yeah you may scout more miles but I use landowner connections (family friend) who watches keeps and eye out and post fields for us something your too arrogant and ignorant to have people do for you..... judging by your pic's farm in background, narrow field, you were likely between wing and tuttle east side of arena lake, 2 miles south of hwy.....ive hunted that field before as trip said your shots scared em but hey don't believe me.......either. how do I know...it happened to me 4-5 years ago in that same area. guess what I stayed on em hunted them the next day north of hwy and banged out a limit..... there goes your smartest bird in the state theory

god if you didn't bad luck you would have no luck at all....

dean I understand you the greatest waterfowl hunter alive but and im done argueing with ya but your or the other spreads shots scared the birds...

pretty rookie move hunting that area. that's where all the newbie Bismarck hunters go....

In front.
am i the only one that finds these 'master goose hunter' debates hilarious????

classic "my bb gun is more powerful than your bb gun" or "my dads bowie knife is bigger than your dads"

it reminds me of the debates i used to get in around ohhhhhh, 2nd grade or so

all written in not-so-good of wordz.....

no wonder decoys get shot at

i might have to pass on waterfowling this year knowing these geniuses are out n about :;:smokin

First off you never saw me post on nodak and second the jackass is you. Im pointing out that what he was bringing up is a highly unlikely scenario! Where did you hunt and how did your day go. Big words for some one who has never met me. Let's see who put on more mikes scouting.

Well every year the age of the adults will grow till many of them will be 15 years plus. As they age they will and are getting smatter. If they are indeed learning that trick the early season will be all but dead and that certainly seems to be where we are headed. The main thing with the sat birds was the way they came over the field and didn't even give the spreads a second look. A guy may be better off with only a hand full of decoys

Why then are the same birds so damn dumb in late november and december?

Answer? the conditions. weather and location and time of year often have more to do with it than the birds getting "educated"

and ftr, scouting from your parents living room window doesn't earn you as much waterfowl street cred as you like to think

If birds became as "educated" as we give them credit for, there would never be another one shot. Migrators are hunted from one end of the continent to the other, they see hundreds of spreads a year and people still shoot boat loads of them. Several years ago I shot a banded specklebelly that was a least 14 years old at the time of his demise. Blue bird day, not a cloud on the sky, about 11 AM on November 2nd....he came in and landed in the decoys. How many thousands of spreads do you think he saw before he met me? They're just birds folks.

Fnznfwl that because there not the same birds. Sure some of our locals stay here but most go down to around KC. The birds on the river are mainly EPP birds from Sask and MB.

As for my folks yard that's not scouting that's thousands of hours being around geese and seeing how the react with certain things. Like said if you want to compare gas bills feel free otherwise get over it.

People really act up with this goose hunting. Yelling matches occur frequently prior to sunrise out there in the fields.

Who gives a shit how many birds a guy shoots or how many miles a guy drives out scouting. I really don't give a rats ass if I get 1 bird or 15. It's about being out in the field enjoying to day. Are group only shot 4 birds on Saturday but watched another group get around 15. It was almost more fun watching birds fall from the sky over there spread and then to hear the shots.

I hear ya there, sorry for the rant.. Lord nelson asked how many I shot as if he wanted to measure our dicks together...I told him. I otherwise very rarely if ever post pictures, reports, successes or failures.

I see Lord nelson belittle and put other people down, dis regards suggestions on many websites ( refuge forums for instance) go take a look at goose hunting thread) and you can tell what kind of person he is so I spoke out. all done now. my bad.

it does seem goose hunters are the WR's of football huh?

That, this thread, and many other examples in recent years is why waterfowl hunting has turned gayer then a bag of dicks. Its really unfortunate as i used to enjoy the hell out of it..

I so very rarely run into these types of problems. Wonder what I am doing different? I mean, multiple times have I had to go to backup field, but usually just plan B, not C or D. I've never had to fight off more than one other group of hunters.

the ads that show guys looking uber-serious (the Normandy Beach look), wearing $1,000 outfits, with blacked out warpaint faces like they are going into battle helps the gay factor too
