I've been seeing some in a field almost every day on my drive to work. Its not posted and I'm not sure how to even check it online. If I really wanted to hunt them I'd track the guy down and just ask.

I think you’re stretching it saying people think they have a right to access private land as they please. I don’t know anyone who thinks that (besides the neighbor kid who shed hunts my stuff, that’s another story). It’s how the “my landowner rights” / lockout crew and guides have eroded the relationship between hunters and farmers. Yes you can still build relationships and there’s still a lot who grant access. But it’s tough and trending tougher.

Canada goose is fine as long as you prepare it in a way that covers the taste.
Sarcasm. I have heard the same thing every year since back in the fbo and even sdo days .

I've known some guys who think they're entitled to go wherever they please. And not just on the Rez, I'm talking about private land East River.

E-posting is as bad as it can get! Way too many ways to cheat the system, and makes too many loopholes for the landowners in juristiction. Also, we need to get the ND Game & Fish Department out the the landowners' back pockets, and work for the outdoors people.
can you explain how they can cheat the system e-posting? and how it makes too many loopholes for the landowners in jurisdiction? i am not following either. thanks!

I'll start by saying i'm not a fan of eposting since we had it pretty good before but it is sure still a hell of a lot easier to deal with than wyoming or montana when i've hunted there. everything is posted there and it can be hell to find a landowner to get permission sometimes. Sure i'ts getting harder here as land is getting broken up between families and sold or owned by people from out of state. Its hard not see hunting having less opportunities everywhere i look lately. Areas i used to hunt deer and elk on surplus tags are draw, point creep is insane in many states, and populations from winter, disease, and habitat loss are dwindling.

They've gone this far already with the e-posting shit. It should be one way or the other, either all e -post and skip the paper posting or go back to the paper. Looking for or at both truly sucks. And there isn't a one hunter ( liar if you haven't ) out there that when your driving around hasn't seen a rooster, deer, or coyote out in the field and stopped and it is a question whether posted or not.

Will also ad that trying to get a hold of landowners is almost impossible these days mainly because of telemarketers. Nobody wants to answer a phone anymore. And yes I do knock on doors.

I knocked on doors last year in Wyoming and Montana. Was told yes and no in both states. No $$ exchanged for access in either state. I did flip one rancher a bunch of walleye fillets in Montana where I shot my antelope. He was happy!

I guess I don't understand how this couldn't be put on a ballot and get voted on. Let the majority win, not Farm Bureau, as there the ones that pushed it thru.
Any shot getting a fuck u average joe hunter getting a letter in the governments office? This bill from what i understood was very close to goimg full private like all mn sd mt so have suffered from it but it got consideraby worse for me this year. Alot of my area had been ok with couple sections open. but get the last scrap of lands in that an what is there nothing to hunt. The bullshit part is greedy fucks that farm off old lease ground and they dont even givee acsess to public public ground. So example. I used to park on a county road to get in my bow stand. Now if i want to sit for deer i have to walk 3/4 mile out of the way (one way) to hunt a stand i used be in 5 minutes. The a hole told me (no) theres other people hunting there. So i cant walk across 25 feet of your now e posted field to acess public . I called the guy what a fucking joke. Ps used to kill roosters every where down that way back my whole life we hit it.

My question is when nobody is hunting anymore and deer, elk, goose population explodes like it was back in the day and the critters are eating all of the farmers fields, hay and grain pile and the G&F is no longer getting tag money, who do the farmers cry to.

Certainly not a position every landowner takes, but there is certainly a very squeaky wheel in that community who want landowners to control every aspect of hunting. Including the tags allotted. The endgame is kind of the South African model where landowners are given a specified number of tags for them to sell or hand out as they see fit, and for whatever $$$$ they can receive in exchange for a tag. At least, that is kind of the way a South African landowner put it to me a couple years ago when we were talking about him hosting me on a private land safari.

Haha just because you suck shit at cooking don’t be mad.

No problem having places to hunt deer and pheasants when ever I want to.

I’m so surprised such a stanch conservative group on this site are all about the socialist way of thinking they deserve access to private land at any time.
Its not that we desserve to hunt private land it is the way they sowed the land off. So in my area there used to be places u could go an hike around trying to find game or birds mostley. But now with the goverment posting it has become no access anywhere. Have contacted those that e post the land an alot is very marginal at best rock pile stuble fields. Take a look at a unit like 3a1 for deer when i was younger there was little if any posting now its terrible the unit has animals but the e posting has ruined bieng able to drive around on a cold breezy day in gun deer season an find a good deer. These days its a joke noone will let a random man on the land.

Don't forget about the amazing Kathy Skroh (sp).. either. She was another ringleader with the e- posting just like fellow RINO, Cindy S. Beck. 🤮
How do we get these people out of office the voting systems have no caliper on people that are in the system. My taxes fund gov but there is no liabilty. An virtually no way to govern. Heard it before from old timers nd is becoming minnesota. The system is corrupt so have north dakotans yet voted for the term limits bill. This is a very big deal the people in office are essentialy makimg a monopoly for therir own interests. Has to be stopped.

Then u have the social media padding on the plots program. (Kx news) I like plots but a large majority of that ground is useless for hunting. UNLESS u like meaddow lark hell indians used to love em.The program is the only thing hunters have going for them now. And is a tough sell to say the least. Plots is the last oppurtiny the government wants people to have to hunt. They need to have the joke program before people flip the nut. Or else just dont hunt buy government meat an be happy with that. I know an talk with alot of people that dont hunt an there is a reason why because now these days u would have to be loonie to waste money on something like hunting no reward.
