You missed
I haven't loaded or shot my 6.5-284 for a few years. Got 100 new Peterson brass and a box of Sierra match King X's that I stumbled across at Scheels the other day. Trying to decide what powder to mess with first, I got Retumbo, H1000, H4831sc, StaBALL 6.5 Precision Rifle and IMR 4831 for options in my stash.I have the HIT Pro. It's 12 lb but if you can't walk anyway no big deal. My grandson has the 7 PRC and I have the 6.5 PRC. I started out with a Springfid Waypoint with a 22 inch barrel. My 26 inch barrel 6.5 Creedmoor was as fast and my 26 inch barrel 6.5x284 walked over it and my 6.5 PRC with a 24 inch barrel. With a 140 VLD my Creedmoor does 2780 fps. With R26 it does 3052. The 22 inch 6.5 PRC topped out at 2959 and factory was 2870. The 6.5x284 with Retumbo does 3120, but I dropped .5g for better accuracy at 3036 fps. Cold weather is like stepping up to a slower powder and velocity drops bad. I have attached a target for those who may be interested. Chrono with Garmin radar.![]()

Door jams and side-mirrors. Get it right.400 (+) is a world reserved for the "SDMF" types with bipods and turrets.
Not on a Ford, but you are correct on a Chevy, Dodge or Toyota. If you’re the passenger, windage turrets are ok. Otherwise they bang on the side mirror/door jam on presentation.
So I’ve heard….
Wouldn't know, way to scared to try. What is it like without a brake or suppressor?
A 30 - 378 is not that bad, but to scared to try. I have shot a 460 Wby Mag many times and they will rock you. But it nothing to be scared of.Wouldn't know, way to scared to try.
My favorite thing to do is you're bird hunting with a guy that has a gun that can shoot 3.5 inch and you throw a turkey load in his bag.........Yeah, I'm sick like that.
I hate checking the big turkey loads anymore, with my luck I can just as well run with the .410 the kids used. #9 TSS worked awesome last fall for our daughter and meWouldn't know, way to scared to try.

Yeah got that and a 416 and neither have been fired by me. The 460 has been shot before but the 416 has never been fired. Watched a video on the 416 and the guy shot it standing up and fell over, that was enough for me. The 460 has a break on it and I've been tempted to shoot that one but haven't felt a need to do so yet and it looks nice just being displayed.A 30 - 378 is not that bad, but to scared to try. I’ve shot the .387 and .416 Wby’s without a brake. Standing it’s shootable, not very many times, but you don’t break bones and you don’t fall over.Yeah got that and a 416 and neither have been fired by me. 375 H&H isn’t any worse than a 300 Win or 338 Win loaded w/200 & 250’s respectively.I agree, I have shot a 460 Wby and 375 H & H off a bench and standing a 10ga will rip you more than a rifle.
