It was not a public gate but 3/4 of a mile down used to be game and fish land now on onx is says corps of engineers I have driven down that road for I bet 30 years now to hunt that land. It is located on the West side of deepwater bay as you head out to the main lake channel. It's not what I would consider a prairie trail either as it has ditches and probably continued to the south until the lake was madeIf it's a public gate why not just call Game and Fish and let them know that it is wrongfully locked?
Section line is public easement and can not be lockedIt was not a public gate but 3/4 of a mile down used to be game and fish land now on onx is says corps of engineers I have driven down that road for I bet 30 years now to hunt that land. True you have 33' on each side of the section line for public travel but what I'm questioning is how that works on the reservation since they are a Sovern Nation. I have a call in to the game warden in that area to see if he can shed some light on this.Section line is public easement and can not be locked
I did look on the ND recorders website and didn't see anything as far as a Section line vacation. I will double check with the recorder to see if there is a document that they have not put on there yet.First thing you will want to do is check with the county to make sure that section line has not been abandoned, I am guessing the roads dept would maintain the list of closed section lines. If it hasn't been abandoned, then you will want to touch base with the county Sheriff's office.
Wouldn't put it past them. . .Closed by feds due to shutdown?
No it's tribal landDoes it have posted signs or E-posted? If not cut the wires and drive it.
No permit required to launch at 4 Bears Casino ramp.Off topic question here.
At one time you were supposed to have a tribal permit to use a boat ramp that was on tribal land, do they still require that? Just curious.
