Someday when I meet Jesus I’m going to ask him how the deer know whether or not you’ve got a buck tag in your pocket.

Numerous times this year for myself and the brother, as we were pocketing smoothy tags.

That's crazy. That setup goes for like $800+ at Scheels, and those Magpul stocks alone go for 300. I'd probably buy a couple.

No secret. It's in the Scheels holiday ad, 11/23 - 12/1. I didn't notice it until last night, so may have missed the boat already. I probably can't get there until Friday (if I can make myself go out Friday), but hopefully someone scores one if I don't.

Anyone snag one of these? Kids were home and stuck around all weekend, so never made the trip. Decided hanging with the family was more important than putting another rifle in the safe, so I'll wait for another day.

No. I asked about them in Fargo. They said they had a couple 6.5s and 308s at the beginning of the sale, but they went quick, like in the first day or two.

Quite a few years ago while driving down the road, I came up on a guy hauling a buck on a trailer the 3rd week of January. I thought that that was weird because bow season was over 3 weeks before that. Took a picture of his buck on the trailer while driving behind him and wrote his license plate number down. Watched where he went and drove that way a short time later to find the deer that he had on the trailer laying in the ditch. Called the warden and reported him, sent the picture to the warden and told him where the deer was. The warden called me later to tell me that they charged him with wanton waste.
