anybody ever sell squirrel tails to Mepps back in the day?
I saw the adds. I didn't kill enough for 35 cents. I liked them better tacked around my room. Mom would disappear them in Spring. When times were good, we only ate 1 or 2 messes a year. I stopped killing when I realized freezer-burnt meat was going in the trash. I should've "realized" sooner.
I was away from game meat for a couple years in the Farce. That was bad. To this day; I'm hypersensitive to "liver" and "gut". Thank God, I've NEVER been truly hungry.
For a few years in the Farce; I could shoot a few for Grandma: I was a "hero" at that time for using a .22 and bringing her wild brown trout for "Friday". Thank You Winchester (T-22) and Rapala for my Salad Days.
That is all.
