"You voted these people into office."

Orcas It appears you may have, but I certainly did not. As an outdoor site most on here are pro 2nd amendment. Those of us over 70 years old remember freedom. I remember my father ordering an unfired 6.5 Swedish military rifle for $29. The left and the sporting goods dealers loved that 1968 law that forced sportsmen to purchase from gun shops that inflated prices over night. The youth have no idea what they have lost. I seen my first posted sight in 1957 and it was on a plowed field. How many here have picked up their rifle and wondered the countryside without checking posting? Greed and hatred have changed society, and those in la la land whistle their freedom away.
Orcas experience trumps those human biases evident in your citations. Democrats and republican politicians are nearly all power/money hungry and corrupt, but they still have not passed a law that we cant think for ourselves and drink their cool-aid.

I never voted one time for Chuck Schumer or any other gun grabber, and l sure can't vote them out. Scary when you think about California could potentially outvote ND 54-3 by themselves at the federal level. We should be the United But Seperate and Equal States of America. No state should be able to decide what happens in another. That is why the federal government is the enemy.

California has 54 Representatives to our 1.

Fortunately, they only have 2 Senators and we have two Senators.

A little off topic but since we are on the topic of other States Representation. In Oregon the Portland voters outnumber all in the rest of the whole State:

About The Initiative

People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions
(PEACE) Act
Initiative Petition 28 (IP28), formally titled People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions (PEACE) Act, is a proposed ballot initiative filed with the state of Oregon for the November 2026 general election.

If enacted, IP28 would extend the legal protections that keep our companion animals safe to animals currently on farms, in research labs, and in the wild—which would then protect those animals from slaughter, hunting, fishing, and experimentation. Animal abuse in Oregon is already defined as the intentional, knowing, and reckless injury of an animal. IP28 doesn't change that definition, it simply changes who is protected under that definition. IP28 would also expand protections against animal sexual assault by classifying both the masturbation and impregnation of animals as sexual assault even when done for agricultural purposes (under current state law, the same actions would only count as sexual assault if done for the human being's sexual gratification).

We believe it is possible to meet all of our needs as human beings while simultaneously meeting the needs of the animals we inhabit this state with. Using the killing of animals as a strategy to meet our needs is a choice, and our campaign wants to propose making a different one. Whether that looks like greater investment in plant agriculture, utilizing non-lethal wildlife management practices, or implementing non-animal methods for research, many alternative strategies already exist to choose from.

Before it gets to the ballot, we need to collect 117,173 signatures from registered voters in the state of Oregon. If you want to help, find out how you can volunteer to collect signatures or how you can donate to the campaign. You can read the full text of IP28 here.

Every day Minnesota earns the name People's Repiblic of Minnesota. China must admire them. I'll bet they wouldn't consider letting law enforcement into houses to check their drugs.

I remember those days as I lived them as well. I also remember news went about as far as the next county. You hardly ever heard of serial killers, rapists etc. because it was not something "Good People" talked about.
I also remember lynchings, executions, college students being gunned down, and the like. Never stopped people from criminal behavior. This internet thing is useful as now you can get solid information, if you take the time to find it.
As to the great outdoors, I remember traffic would stop if there was a deer near the road. If you saw two a year it was something. I remember birds not being able to reproduce because DDT caused thin shells and they crushed under the birds weight. I remember thousands of dead fish littering the swimming beach. Current EPA wants to take us back to those "Good Old Days".
I for one am not fond of that prospect.

we didn’t know both “these people“ into office, Idiots like you did We have to suffer with consequences of your poor decisions.

as far as moving to another country liberals do that while conservatives tough it out and try to vote the right people back in the office

you do realize the ATF is an unelected deep state bureaucrat government entity
So are the police, FBI, County Law Enforcement, State Highway Patrol. "The Deep State" other than being a boogeyman for those who have not worked in government, is usually just some poor person trying to work toward retirement and not end up in jail because some elected official wants to do something which is illegal.
As to me being an Idiot, I can see why some on here think that.
I try to be articulate, provide evidence, and worst of all, someone who does not act like an entitled bully.
As to poor decisions, China is making hay globally from the current presidents vengeful actions. And yes I did not vote for him as he is only interested in himself and not the betterment of the United States as a whole. Was Harris the best person for the job, maybe not, but at least she was a prosecutor and not a convicted criminal.
