Probably not. Some oil companies have already said they aren't going to drill in ND anymore because our oil is at a breakeven point of $62 a barrel. Will this cause the price of oil to rise in the short-term? Absolutely, but oil execs aren't going unleash a drilling program unless they think the price of oil will be substantially above their breakeven point for a few years. Most likely around 3-5 years, based on the economics of ND wells.
If this campaign in Iran is successful, they will be back on the legitimate oil market with no sanctions in a lot less time than that. That would put downward pressure on oil prices as our new friend (Iran) seeks to sell oil to help rebuild their country. Much like Iraq did.
