I may not agree with all of his wildlife management choices and ideas i did do a hunt on the armendarus and it seemed like he was trying lots of different things to help with wildlife conservation. Talking with the guide some stuff worked, some didn't but Ted was definitely spending plenty of money on conservation. It was a strict managed ranch for hunting with animal numbers and harvest kept in check.

Anyone old enough to remember knows CNN was an ok news source until they started breaking bad with the Clinton Lewinski scandal in 1998. Anyone can Google the fact Ted Turner sold CNN two years before that in 1996 and had only been dating or married to Jane Fonda the last 5-6 years he owned it.
Also, anyone who says that if they were a 52 year old billionaire and this bent over in front of them, that they wouldn't have touched it, is a liar...

He does have some of the best ranches and elk / mule deer hunting in the country. Has created thousands of acres of habitat also. So while he might be a shit bag other ways he was really good for putting more animals on the land scape.
