I always thought crp was open to the public for hunting. Back in the 80s everyone hunted it without asking in SD

No, standard Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land is privately owned and not open to public hunting by default. Entering CRP land without permission is considered trespassing

Nope, the orginal intent was to take land out of production to try and raise the market prices of grain for farmers. Sure they said it was to take HEL and other marginal land out of production but conservation was a secondary goal. Today its probably more for conservation.
100% agree. I was directing my comment more towards the fact the CRP does not provide an easement for access. But I do agree the actual goal of the program was to stabilize commodities.

And Cramer is throwing a temper tantrum. Publicly stating he's "furious"....GOOD. You have more important shit to worry about. Gotta love when a senator gets told no to his pet projects. "My farmers.." give me a break.
