Yes he does. A little duck/ditch boat, a 15-16 footer and a big water boat. My problem at the moment is that I have 2 16.5 foot boats. I think I am gonna keep the Mr. Pike and roller trailer and get rid of the same size tracker with bunks.

For slough-raider sake, I have the right size boat but it sits on a bunk trailer. I think a 20 ft yarcraft would fit the bill. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit in the garage. Then I'd need a bigger garage....

This guy (thumbs pointed inward) needs ONE boat. I really should have bought Sluggo's old Yar. Single console with a 75 merc. Dangit...

We use the lightest bb's possible. But current, wind and depth all influence the choice. If you fishing south of Bismarck it is a good idea to have a wide selection of bb's. Nothing like trolling spinners 5 foot off the bottom. It doesn't work.

What would be nice is to have your tolling motor follow a certain contour depth. Any videos on it?

It’s super easy with hummingbirds one boat network. Just need a helix, a networked Terrova, and a lak master chip and your off to the races…. …….

depends on the angle of wind. I don't contour troll that much any more and haven't used it as much with the new boat and Quest Ulterra as I did on the last boat with the regular Ulterra. if you had a quartering wind coming into shore, I think you'd find it would be more of trolling drift, of course depending on the speed the motor is set at and the wind speed. what I do use a lot is the cruise control, auto pilot, spot lock, and jog functions. With FFS, my fishing style has certainly changed some.

Power breaks will be the future ---- it will come to a whole new level. Drew Gill i believe he was the one that put the whole power break on the map. https://mypowerbrakes.com/
https://mypowerbrakes.com/ No more kickers and more batteries, faster trolling motors, control speed reverse ---- reverse i never knew until i scoped and seen how many bass that see me come up and over the weed line even with weeds that i cannot see with my eyes. Deep water walleyes or bass it will work slick for scopin so you dont slide by em

to bad i cant afford all this shit.

Take a real hard listen to G Man -and he is spot on:

I may be on my last boat with a kicker. I use it less and less every year. This new one has literally been used twice in 2 seasons.

I love my kicker and the only way Power brakes would work is in reverse.

Yep, use power brakes to stop, hold and position in unison with the bow mount. Kind of the ultimate for boat positioning and control. I always liked the idea of the kicker as back up propulsion to get back to a ramp if the main engine were to have a big issue, bit in over 20 years, I've yet to have that happen. Kicker is solely for trolling cranks at this point and for the little I do, the new quest TM works fine for that.
