How fast does your boat go?

I have a Yar-Craft 2095BTX with a 200 Verado on it. I always fill up my gas tank and have a ton of tackle in the boat. With me 170lbs and a friend about 180 I can hit 50MPH if the water is flat. very few days can I run like that. My average speed is 35 to 40. That has been the best speed...

    Drop Shotting eyes

There is a 1000 different way to fish for walleyes. To be honest I stick to three different ways and have no problem getting limits of fish. I jig, pull Lindy rigs, and pull cranks. to me those are the money for me when fishing. I have tried out other ways, but those are what I go back to...

Skeeter 2000t in the Minot area

I have a weird request. I have been thinking of getting a new boat in a couple years and was wondering if anyone in the Minot area has a skeeter 2000T I could take a look at. I would like to see the storage area, rod storage, live well, ect. I have looked at them on skeeters web page, but would...

    Food for the boat

PB and J for me. My daughter thinks that cheese puffs are great boat food. Dang those things make a mess. It gets her out so that is all that matters. She is 5 and can be in the boat for 4 hours, before I hear some complaining. If the water is warm a little 10 minute swim for her off the...

    Custom Built Fish House

The frame is a 14' from Miltona. Its a 14' X 7' with a 3.5' V front of the actual frame. End of fender to end of fender is 9' wide. I got it lic and was told that as long as it is under 10" the state of ND really don't care to much. The V front actually give it a lot of room. Its where the...

    Is backtrolling a lost art?

I used my bow mount electric when the wind is not blowing to much. When the wind picks up I will used my kicker in reverse and a drift sock off the bow. I have found it is way easier in the wind to back troll. Its how i learned to fish and feel in the wind when the bow mount is turned up to 8...

    What's everyone using for nets?

One thing that I feel is important in a net is to have a rubber coating. I hate it when I'm spending time trying to get the hook out of the net, because it;s snagged in it. With the rubberized coating the hooks won't get caught in the net.

    Custom Built Fish House

    Basics for Trolling Speeds

When I'm pulling lindy's or bottom bouncers I'm going right around .8 MPH. When pulling spinners just fast enough for the spinner to spin. When pulling cranks anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 MPH. One of my fishing buddy makes fun of me a lot he says the boat has two speeds 40 MPH and .8 MPH.

What brand of boat do you run?

2005 crestliner 1850 fishhawk with a 115 optimax and a 9.9 mer kicker, and a 80lbs I-Pilot on the front. I bought it new and know where every scratch came from. I would like to up grade to a 20' boat with with two little ones in the house that will have to wait for a few years.
