    Access was rough. 4 wheelers were getting stuck!! East side access looks better. Fishing was slow too- lots of fish moving through but not much biting going on.

    Got down to Beaver today to fish and noticed some douchebag low lifes busted the window out of a guys ice castle. Called the guy to notify him and he came down to pick up his house. They apparently took his vexilar, rods and tackle. Nicest older gentleman too. I guess some scumbag needed it more...

    I couldn't get to the launch because there were pickups parked in the middle of the road so I'm not sure what that looks like- would guess inaccessible if folks were stopping short of heading to the launch. People are parking by the playground area just before the camping check in booth.

    Drove down to Beaver. Access on the southeast side of the bridge (east side) and at the playground/beach area (west side). Driving on looks doubtful unless you have an ATV or snowmobile. Gonna give er' a shot tomorrow!

    Does anybody know what the access is like at Beaver Bay after the last snow storm? Thinking of making a trip tomorrow just to check it out but figured I'd ask around first. Any chance of pulling out a wheelhouse?

    And here I thought it was supposed to be a cold winter! I've made it out the last three years on Thansgiving weekend- this weather ruined the tradition!!

    I would have no problem going out in a portable, but I think hopping around trying to find fish would be out of the question! It would be a one setup and done. But I will be enjoying fishing from the couch of my ice castle this weekend :-)

    I've heard this same myth over and over again- I have a Vex FL-18 and my good buddy has a Marcum LX-7. Occasionally, I'll get some interference but nothing a push of the gain button couldn't handle. Love my FL-18, it may not have all the fancy gadgets but I added a digital depth display...
