The scene where Maverick wakes up after being shot down should be from a wolf pissing in his face. As the camera pans back you see an additional wolf dry humping his leg.

The scene of Maverick locating Rooster should be the interruption of an ass raping by a yeti:

Maverick has stowed a 1911 pistol, defeats the yeti and steals a Tomcat: Maverick stows and steals. He is good.

That is all.

^^^^I'm not available Skeet. The bad boys usually end up breaking hearts as they can't be tamed.

Anyways, the movie is Triple X level stupid and was of great disappointment. Even as the original and "Days of Thunder" for that matter contained some forced retarded dramatism; there was enough realism to maintain subject integrity. This movie was like reading a comic book. It was obvious pandering to the current crop of retarded kids. The nod to Kelly Johnson was cool and sad as this was a high budget CGI B movie. The concept of Maverick being a test pilot was awesome and plausible. The film should've then been modeled and shot in the manner of "The Right Stuff" and/or "The Guardian".

I lost good brain matter like after finishing a gallon of WT 101. My above "wolf/yeti" scenes would at least relegate "Top Gun II" in the realm of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" or "Plan 9 from Outer
Space".

Lincoln, kinda...
Huh...I was pleasantly surprised at the creativity of the writers and producers. They combined some of Bob Hoover's antics and today's friction with Iran to produce a movie that exceeded my fairly low expectations.

I watched it Friday night. It wasn't a great movie in my eyes. Then we watched Hocus Pocus 2 Saturday night and it made Top Gun look better.

F-14s are so badass!! When I was assigned to the boat and I saw them up close my first thought was HOLY SHIT that's bigger than I imagined!! They are an impressive sight in the air and on the ground.

I'd like to know your opinion of my assessment after you see it.

I liked the movie (and the aircraft). I find movies that are realistic, are often boring, because, well, for most of us, real-life is kinda boring.

If I wanted a realistic movie, I might watch a legal thriller perhaps. Or maybe a crime movie. Or a movie about shoving balls of lead down a walleye's throat.

This is of course, my personal opinion, but I don't go to a movie, expecting reality. It's why I go to a movie. That's why I have enjoyed Star Wars, The Hobbit, John Wick, and even Legally Blonde. They're not realistic. Ahem, that's the point.

Didja see the one about the middle-aged white man, in sales, married with three kids and a mortgage?

Me neither, because I'm LIVING that one. Nobody standing in line to hear my life-story.
