When I was a kid my dad and uncles would throw a milk jug in the driveway after breakfast and if they could hit it they felt they were good to go
My gramps would throw a jacket on the hood and hit a paper plate on a haybale around 10:00 every opener. Then he’d sit on a metal chair and smoke in the woods and would usually be one of the first to tag out.

I don't have a tag, but my daughter does.

Good luck to those hunting.

Who's going to be "that person" and burn their vehicle up in the dry conditions?

We were down south fishing today in Oahe. Only heard one shot all day. Didn’t see any hunters.

Yep...I believe tobacco smoke is non-alarming as is smoke in general. Granddad fortified his black lungs with cigarettes and a pard's dad would build a fire beside of his tree when there were real winters in the Hills. As you said; they usually tagged out first.

We filled one of our 3 buck tags in 2J1, nice 5x5. Other than that just a few sausage bucks. Learned something new though, I buy my hunting and fishing license in March of each year , Guess you are supposed to reprint or re-screenshot it once you get your deer tag, and it then shows that on the license also .

Wouldn't it be a moot point if you're carrying your tag? Also been in 2J1 since Friday, seen very few and only heard a couple rifle shots each day and I'm surrounded by a lot of public land.
