Very cool MM thanx for sharing...The best NL I ever seen was traveling thru the yukon one august night on my way to alaska,new moon,clear skies,rainbow of colors,camera's back then needed a tri pod and slow 35mil shutter speed,I had neither back then.(late 70's)
I'm all but positive I saw them on the river last night. Pretty steady - didn't seem to be moving much. They were the right color, and location, but the shape didn't seem right, but it's about all it could have been. I watched them for about an hour.
Last night was a G4 storm - "severe". Tonight is a G1 - "mild". I only know what I've interpreted from the site I posted.....not any sort of expert. Sure seems like last night was a rarity! K index was a 7.67 out of 9. Tonight is around 4.
